Sustainability Expo Queen Mary’s School, Tis Hazari bagged first position in Sustainability Expo which was organized by Queen Mary’s School Northend (Rohini) under their event SIMMIC 2017 in order to promote sustainable development. Each team was required to select an Indian state of their choice for the competition to put up a stall in order to inspire people to reuse materials that may have otherwise been thrown away. Kritika, Sanjana Gupta, Vaishnavi Singhal, Yashila Sharma and Yashita Gupta of Class XI represented Queen Mary’s School, Tis Hazari under the supervision of Eco Club Incharge Ms Shikha Sharma. Eco Club team put up a beautiful stall using the waste materials such as newspapers, old clothes, broken glass, pottery pieces, terracotta etc and models describing various techniques for sustainable development focusing on water resource. Rain water harvesting, sprinkler irrigation system and ancient water conservation techniques particularly from Rajasthan were displayed. The judges were welcomed in traditional Rajasthani style in accordance with the theme. This would not have been possible without the guidance of Honourable Principal Ms Ritu P. Solomon who always encourages the staff and students to participate in events and activities aimed at sustainable development in the society and also within school campus.

Queen Mary’s School, Tis Hazari bagged first position in Sustainability Expo which was organized by
