Our Lodges

Our Mission

Our lodges are inspired by the

surrounding environment. The rooms

are simple, yet comfortable and

charming. The open design of the

bungalows allows for a natural, cooling

air flow, and an atmosphere flooded

with light. All rooms are provided with

double or twin beds and handmade

furniture, along with self-contained

bathrooms and an outdoor sitting area.

Just outside each bungalow you are

free to wander through the beautiful

garden setting of the resort.

The Ecolodge Bukit Lawang was

established to complement and serve

as an outlet for the activities of the

Bohorok Environmental Education

Centre. Herein we aim to increase

awareness towards biodiversity

conservation and the implementation

and management of proper

ecotourism.

The «Kapal Bambu» restaurant is

the latest jewel of Ecolodge Bukit

Lawang. Constructed from natural

and sustainably harvested bamboo

and clay, which are found in sufficient

quantities in the local environment

of Bukit Lawang, this innovative

design serves as a showcase for

sustainable development. The local

kitchen team adheres to authentic

Indonesian cuisine, but also ventures

into European and fu sion cooking

to suit your individual tastes. The

«Bamboo Lounge» in the upper

flower offers space for conservation,

education, simple relaxation, and

entertainment.
