PSSA Winter Sport Congratulations to all our Winter PSSA teams on a great season. I would like to thank Mrs Soames and Mr Fleming for coaching the teams. Congratulations to our Junior A, Senior A & Senior B netball teams on making it through to the finals. The teams all played very well with the Senior A team winning their division. Well done! Sutherland Shire Music Festival Students in the Senior and Junior Choirs and Dance Groups will this week participate in the Sutherland Shire Schools Music Festivals. The seniors have their rehearsal this Wednesday with the evening concert on Thursday at the Sutherland Entertainment Centre. The juniors are involved in a rehearsal and matinee concert on Friday 15th August with their evening concert on Monday 18th August again at the SEC. We are enormously proud of the efforts of all students involved and grateful to their choir teachers Mrs Moseley, Mrs Dargaville and Mrs Buckle for all that they have done. A big thank you to Mrs Kinred for all that she has done to choreograph, organise and costume the dancers. Thank you to Mrs Jenkins for her assistance to Mrs Kinred. There are 3 tickets available at the office for Thursday night’s performance should you wish to purchase additional tickets. Many concerts are sold out. Zone Athletics Carnival Good luck to our students who are representing SNPS at the half day Zone Athletics Carnival which is being held on Friday 15 August. The full day carnival is being held on Thursday 21 August. Information has been sent home to students involved. Kindergarten 2015 Enrolment Classroom visits for the children and parent forums will be held on the following dates:

From the Library………. A huge thankyou to all those parents, grandparents and care givers for donating to our school Library on Open Day. We have added $548.00 worth of new books and titles to our school collection which will benefit all our students. It will take me a few weeks to process these new books, which need to be put on the computer data bank, "Donated by..." stickers added, labels printed and covering done, before they can be loaned out. Canteen Fresh Monday 18th August - no pre-ordering required! Menu items for this day only will be: Recess - Warm carrot cake with pineapple $1.00 - Banana Smoothie $1.00 Lunch Spaghetti Bolognese with pasta $4.00 With a Garlic Bread $5.00 We will be making home-style Bolognese, packed with nutrition and served in noodle boxes with pasta. Ingredients will be – Beef and Pork Mince / Onion / Garlic / Carrot / Celery / Parsley / Tomato Bolognese Sauce. We still have roster vacancies on the following days this term. Artist in Residence Program – Sponsored by the Shire Local Bank Mr Tucker has been working with 5/6F in the last two weeks. The theme has been rainforests with students working in groups. The results are outstanding!
