Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering and Technology (SVCET), Chittoor, established in the year 1998 enjoys the reputation as one of the best engineering colleges in Andhra pradesh. Founded by the far sighted vision of eminent Educationist and Philanthropist Dr. Ravuri Venkataswamy under the auspices of Srinivasa Educational Academy, it serves the prime objective of imparting Technical Education to the students of the backward and drought prone regions of Andhra Pradesh. The mission of the Institute is two-fold – to educate and prepare the students as employable citizens of India.

SVCET is marching towards the goal to emerge as an Institute reputed for learning and research with high standard of academic excellence, in the fields of Engineering, Technology and Management. The college has well experienced and qualified teaching staff committed to take up the task of imparting superior technical education by well designed teaching learning mechanisms with a sense of flexibility in adopting innovative Teaching Techniques to facilitate the Teaching – Learning process.

LOCATION

The college is situated on National Highway NH-18 in an area of nearly 50 acres of picturesque beauty at R.V.S. Nagar, Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh. The College is located in serene atmosphere and is seven Kilometers from Chittoor and 60 Kilometers from Tirupathi, the nearest airport, is also well connected by road/rail.

INFRASTRUCTURE

The immense merit of SVCET is rooted in its outstanding infrastructure. State of art laboratories of Engineering and Science are well-resourced with the essential equipment. The College is facilitated with a generator to ensure uninterrupted power supply for the conduct of academic activities. The Laboratories and workshops are fully equipped with latest paraphernalia. Computer labs, CAD/CAM Center and High Speed Internet Connected Computer Center are value added assets to the college. The other facilities in the college include fully Air conditioned Computer Center, Language laboratory to improve the communication skills of the students as well as prepare them for TOEFL, GRE and other competitive examinations. It also include Seminar halls, Conference hall, Canteen, Open Air – Theatre, Auditorium, Guest house, Faculty Club, Medical facilities, Transportation and ATM.

FACULTY

The core strength of SVCET lies in its qualified, committed and dedicated faculty. Eminent faculty members drawn from institutes of excellence including IITs, NITs etc help the students in the learning process at SVCET. The college has a regular stream of speakers from industry, internationally renowned subject experts and academicians par excellence interacting with the students.
