women students, provides an excellent opportunity to them for acquiring spe-

cific skills and knowledge, fostering their creativity and nurturing their inno-

vative prowess leading to their intellectual development.

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering has

organized a TEQIP II SPONSORED ONE WEEK FACULTY DEVELOPMENT

PROGRAM ON “COMPUTATIONAL TOOLS FOR ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS”,

during 25th -30th July 2016. The inauguration and technical session was

started by Guest of Honor and Key-

note speaker Dr. S. Sivanaga Raju,

Professor, Department of EEE,

JNTUK. He delivered a presentation

on “ MULTI OBJECTIVE ANALYTI-

CAL OF DS BY USING MODIFIED

CUCKOO SEARCH ALGORITHM”. In

this event about 20 members from

various institutions have partici-

pated. This FDP was organized by

Co-ordinators:Mr.K.P.Swaroop &

Mr.M.V.Srikanth.

EEE 72 Students on 30/7/16. This is

about the protection of 400kV switchyard

in power plant for economical transmis-

sion of power to various loads centers by

using protective devices like circuit

breakers, isolators, earth switch, relays,

computer-based SCADA system (for con-

trol, metering and synchronizing)

,capacitive voltage transformers etc...

four faculty members visited Rama-

krishna windings on 27th Sept,2016.It

has two units, one is for low voltage ma-

chines and other is high voltage ma-

chines. A 11kV generator is exposed and

the bar windings are fitted in the stator.

It is the only industry in our AP where

the machine design is made by machines

in Andhra Pradesh.
