are looking to extend the service life of offshore assets beyond the original
design life.
Whatever the offshore maintenance challenge, Sherwin-Williams is committed providing innovative
protective coatings to help you stay competitive. Whether you’re looking for a coating that provides faster return
to service, corrosion under insulation (CUI) protection, heat tolerance, passive fi re protection (PFP) or superior splash
zone wear resistance, we have a solution for you.
■ Best in class protection for areas exposed to
mechanical wear, thanks to many years of
fi eld and formulation experience servicing the
development of splash zone coatings, glass fi lled
epoxies and deck coatings.
■ Innovative humidity and surface tolerant coating
systems provide extended durability during fabric
maintenance under a broader range of application
conditions including ultra high pressure (UHP)
water jetting.
■ Latest generation CUI solutions are specially
suited for fi eld application during operation.
■ Next generation of hydrocarbon PFP and
insulation materials feature reduced loadings and
extended approvals covering a wider range of
steel sections for more fl exible design.

optimise thermal properties, offering personnel burn protection, hot and cold
process insulation. Heat-Flex® 3500 acts as an alternative for conventional
insulation and cladding.
The difference
It is a single component coating that can be applied to ambient or hot surfaces up
to 177°C (350°F) and is suitable for substrates operating between -63°C (-80°F) and
177°C (350°F). Heat-Flex® 3500 is fl exible enough to perform under cyclic thermal
shock conditions.
Features Benefi ts
Protection Effectively insulates a dangerously hot surface to prevent burns due to accidental contact by personnel.
Hot and cold process insulation
When the coating is placed around process piping or tanks it will prevent the transfer of process energy from escaping.
Condensation control Effectively insulates cold process equipment to maintain surface temperature above dew point.
Reduce radiant solar heating – containers and personal enclosures
Reduces container internal temperatures in hot weather by as much as 16ºC, providing cooler storage and safer personnel break room conditions.
Eliminates hidden CUI Heat-Flex® 3500 effectively insulates dangerously hot surfaces without the need for conventional cladding therefore avoiding any possibility of CUI.
Replacement for conventional insulation and cladding
Can be used as a replacement for conventional insulation and cladding in service temperatures ranges of -51°C to 177°C.
