SWEAT IN PEACE AND BREATHE IN WAR The Annual Prize Distribution function for classes 8 and 9 for the year 2016-17 was held on 18th of July 2017 and

was a great success. The Chief Guest for the function was Mr. Shivakumar Krishnamoorthy, an alumnus of the

school. The programme started on a melodious note invoking the blessings of the almighty. With the music in our

hearts, we were introduced to our chief guest and his success in the HCL company. He fondly recollected his days

in the hallowed courtyard. He exhorted the students to join the defence services. He showed us a video the TED

talk given by a military officer at IIT BHU. The video left us all inspired and mesmerised about army life and the

sacrifices they make for our safety. The soldiers sweat in peace and breathe in war a moving statement that is

indelible.

Then the most awaited moment of the function, the Prize Distribution, began. Many excited parents raised their

phones to get a good photo of their children receiving such esteemed prizes. The 9th standard winners for the year

2016-17 received their prizes first with many students receiving proficiency prizes for many subjects and different

prizes along with the All-rounder. The 8th standard prizes were distributed next with many students receiving their

prizes with a gleaming face. The atmosphere was very happy with a lot of smiling, cheering and clapping. The

programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks and the students returned to the classes with motivated minds.
