Note: please make sure you send your URL to your site to your school webmaster so they can link your site to the staff directory. (use the student pathway to get the correct URL)

Creating a New Site• On the top navigation bar, click on the Create
New Site button:

• In the Site Menu area, click on the Create New Site button:
• Either way, you’re then presented with 3 options:
If you choose Copy Existing Site – all
passwords/doc etc. will come over as well not
just the structure.
Note: This is not immediate – you will be put in a que based on when you request the site – can take minutes to overnight.
Managing a Site• Use Top Navigation Bar to manage sites:
▫ Publish or Unpublish entire site (you can also publish or unpublish individual pages) - this is what it looks like when it is not published
▫ Visit Site shows you what the site will look like to visitors – opens in a new window/tab
▫ Modify Site enables you to change a site’s name
▫ Manage Passwords enables you to password protect a site, specific site pages (Covered in SWIFT 2.0 Advanced Training)
▫ Delete Site does just that (with an “are you sure?” option to back out – 30 days for KSD to retrieve if you change your mind)
Click on Modify Site -
Change your site name in the Title field Title shows up on school directory
Click Modify when you are done

Let’s Make One! Select Create Page Select Static Content from the Page Type drop down
menu Title your Page– (ex: Robotics Club) Hit Submit
Hints – make a table to control where objects will be on your page… (keep border at “0” to make border not seen)
To make cells in color: Right click in cell(s) Choose – Cell – Table Cell Properties Select the Advanced Tab Choose the color from the Background

Adding the External Link Select Create Page Select Menu Link from the Page Type drop

Moving Pages Your menu can be managed from almost any screen
in SWIFT's site management. Updating the order of pages is easy -Simply click
and drag the icon next to the page you want to move.
If you would rather a page not exist in your site's menu, simply move it to the Other Pages section. These pages can be made accessible by adding links in other pages, but they won't show up in your site's menu

Password Protection
Password Protection: You can password protect your entire SWIFT site, individual pages, or even some entries on your pages (such as photo albums and files).
All your passwords are managed from your Password Protected Zones manager.
