SoR - Swim and Rescue test It forms the basis of the water trials. The dog must be safe in the water and all exercises must be performed without scratching or trying to climb onto the owner SoR shows that the dog can swim SoR shows that the dog can retrieve an object SoR shows that the dog can rescue the owner

SoR – Swim 50 metres

Always to be done before the other 2 exercises in SoR

Can be performed behind a boat or behind the owner – beside the owner/”heel!” – or any other way

The exercise must show that the dog can swim a longer distance

The owner throws an object at least 10 metres out into the water

The dog retrieves the object, brings it back and deposits it on the shore

The object is optional – but food is not allowed

The test manager holds onto the dog The owner goes into the water and swims out

untill he/she is told to stop The dog must swim at least 15 metres to

reach the owner and tow him/her to the bank During towing the owner must remain passive
