a.Show Judged on the Group System: 1)BestPuppyinGroupandsubsequentGroupplacingsmustbeselectedfrompuppieswhichhavebeenjudgedand
whichareunbeatenbyanyotherpuppy. 2)BestPuppyinShowmustbeselectedfromtheBestPuppyinGroupwinnersprovidedtheyareunbeatenbyany
otherpuppy. b.Withdrawal from other Competition:PuppieswhichbecomeeligibleforBestPuppyinGroupandBestPuppyinShow
maybewithdrawnfromallothercompetition,otherthanBreedClassesandBestPuppyinBreed,priortothecompetitionforBestPuppyinGroupandBestPuppyinShowinordertoremainunbeaten.ApuppybeatenincompetitionforBestPuppyinGroupandBestPuppyinShowmaysubsequentlybeexhibitedinallcompetitionforwhichitwaspreviouslyeligible.ThedogdeclaredBestPuppyinShow,however,mustnotcompeteinanysubsequentcompetition.PuppiesmaybewithdrawnfromAnyVariety(AV)ClasseswhenjudgedbeforeBreedClasses.
c. Proviso:ForthepurposeofthisRegulation,dogsbeatenincompetitionforStudDog,BroodBitch,Progeny,BraceandTeamoraSpecialAwardconfinedtoonebreedwillnotbeconsideredtobeabeatendog.
12. Best in Show: From 1st January 2017, and for a period of one year the Kennel Club Show Regulations which stipulate that dogs must be entered and exhibited in a breed class before exhibiting in an Any Variety Class/Stakes Class and that only unbeaten dogs are eligible to compete in the group or best in show competitions are suspended.

morethanonegroup,asdefinedinKennelClubRegulationB(A);andrequireajudgetodeclareabestofeachgroupafterwhichtheexhibitssodeclaredwillcompetefortheawardofBestinShowandReserveBestinShow.)
1)Best of Breed:WhereabreedisseparatelyclassifiedaBestofBreedmaybedeclaredfromthoseexhibitswhichhavereceivedafirstprizeinabreedclassattheshow.WhereseparateclassesareprovidedforeachsexofabreedaBestofeachSexmustbedeclared.
2)Best of Group:From1stJanuary2017,andforaperiodofoneyeartheKennelClubShowRegulationswhichstipulatethatdogsmustbeenteredandexhibitedinabreedclassbeforeexhibitinginanAnyVarietyClass/StakesClassandthatonlyunbeatendogsareeligibletocompeteinthegrouporbestinshowcompetitionsaresuspended.

b.Withdrawal from other Competition:DogswhichbecomeeligibleforBestofGroupandBestinShowmaybewithdrawnfromallothercompetitionotherthanbreedclassesandBestofBreedpriortothecompetitionforBestofGrouporBestinShowasappropriateinordertoremainunbeaten.AdogbeatenincompetitionforBestinGrouporBestinShowmaysubsequentlybeexhibitedinallcompetitionforwhichitwaspreviouslyeligible.ThedogsdeclaredBestinShowandReserveBestinShowhowever,mustnotcompeteinanysubsequentcompetition.DogsmaybewithdrawnfromAVClasseswhenjudgedbeforeBreedClasses.
c. Proviso:ForthepurposesofthisRegulation,dogsbeatenincompetitionforStudDog,BroodBitch,Progeny,BraceandTeamoraSpecialAwardconfinedtoasinglebreed,willnotbeconsideredtobebeatendogs.
13. ExhibitswillnotbeadmittedtoGrouporBest inShowcompetitionafteraperiodoftenminuteshaselapsedsincetheannouncementthatexhibitsarerequiredforjudging,unlesstheyhavebeenunavoidablydelayedbypreviousjudgingnotbeingcompletedontime,andthenonlywiththespecialpermissionoftheShowManagement.
14. Exhibitorsmustnotpickupdogsbytheirtailsandleadswhenliftingthem.Thisisnotacceptable.ExhibitorsshouldnotethatsuchpracticewouldconstituteharshhandlingandreportsofsuchpracticewillbereferredtotheCommitteeunderKennelClubShowRegulationF11.

16. Allexhibitorsmustbe familiarwithKennelClubRegulationF (AnnexB) -Regulations for thePreparationofDogs forExhibition.
17. AlldogsresidentoutsideoftheUKmustbeissuedwithaKennelClubAuthoritytoCompetenumberbeforeentrytotheshow/eventcanbemade.AlloverseasentrieswithoutanAuthoritytoCompetenumberwillbereturnedtotheexhibitor/competitor.
18. Dogs in Vehicles on Hot Days.Yourdog isvulnerableandatriskduringhotweatherandtheKennelCluboffersthefollowingguidancetohelpguideyouthroughthedo’sanddon’tstravellingtoandwhilstatKClicensedevents.• Whentravellingtoashowpleasetakeamomenttoconsiderwhethertheroutetotheshowisonabusyholidayroute,
andleaveearliertoavoidincreasedtimeintrafficjams.• Ifyourvehicleisnotair-conditionedseriouslyconsiderwhethertravellingtotheshowisagoodideaatall.• Thevehicleshouldbeasfullyventilatedaspossible,andplentyofstopsshouldbetaken,withlotsofwateravailabletodrink.• Ensureyourdogisnotsittinginfullsunlight.Thereshouldbeplentyoffreeflowingairaroundthedog.• Whenattheshow,neverleaveyourdoginthevehicle.• Keepthedogintheshade-takeyourownshadeforexamplealargeumbrellaandalwayshaveplentyofwateravailable
todrinksoyourdogstayswellhydrated.• Avoidyourdogtakingpartinunnecessaryexertion,orfromstandinginexposedsunlightforextendedlengthsoftime.
Remember,ifyoufeelhotyourdogisverylikelytofeelmuchhotteranddehydrated,andthiscouldleadtodireresults.Pleaselookafteryourdog’swelfare.WARNING: IF YOUR DOG IS FOUND TO BE AT RISK FORCIBLE ENTRY TO YOUR VEHICLE MAY BE NECESSARY WITHOUT LIABILITY FOR ANY DAMAGE CAUSED. AnyonewhosedogisenteredataKennelClublicensedeventshouldtakeallreasonablestepstoensuretheneedsoftheirdog(s)aremet,andshouldnotputadog’shealthandwelfareatriskbyanyaction,default,omissionorotherwise.BreachofKennelClubRegulationsinthisrespectmaybereferredtotheGeneralCommitteefordisciplinaryactionunderKennelClubRulesandRegulations.Exhibitors/CompetitorsareremindedthatshowsocietieshavetherightunderKennelClubRegulationtorefuseanyentry.
19. NotforCompetitionentrieswillbeaccepted.DetailsofeachdogsoenteredmustberecordedontheentryformandmustbeKennelClubregistered.
20. NomodificationswillbemadetothisScheduleexceptbypermissionoftheGeneralCommitteeoftheKennelClub,whichwillbefollowedbyadvertisementintheCaninePresswhereverpossible.
21. TheCommitteewillbemostanxiousforthecareandsafetyofdogsbroughtforexhibition,butitmustbedistinctlyunderstoodbyexhibitorsandownersofdogsandallotherpersonsthattheCommitteewillNOTberesponsiblefortheentireorpartiallossordetentionof,orfromanyactoromissionofthemselves,theirofficers,servants,agentsorothers,anditisonthisunderstandingonlythatentriesarereceived.
22. TheShowwillbeheldunderKennelClubRulesandShowRegulations.EveryexhibitormakinganentryorentriesatthisShowshallbedeemedtohaveagreedtoabidebytheseRulesandRegulationsanditisonthisunderstandingonlythatentriesarereceived.
23. BANKCHARGES:AnybankchargesincurredasaresultofincorrectlycompletedordishonouredchequesforwardedforpaymentforShowentryfees,willbepassedontotheexhibitorconcerned.
24. TheCommitteewillbeempoweredtoexcludeorremoveanydogwhichisnotinafitstateforcompetitioneitherfromillness,disease,vice,naturalorothercauses,andifsuchexclusiontakesplaceeitherbeforeorafterjudging,theentryfeewillbeforfeited.
25. Anyowner,competitor,handlerorotherpersoninchargeofadogisrequiredtoremoveassoonaspossibleanyfoulingcausedbytheirdog(s)atanyKennelClublicensedshowwithinthelicensedvenueandwithintheenvironsofthateventincludingcarandcaravanparksandapproaches.Adequatereceptaclesforthedisposalofsuchfoulingwillbeprovided.
26. Parents/Guardians please note,well behaved children arewelcome, but those in charge of childrenwill be held fullyresponsiblefortheiractionsandanydamagecausedwithintheenvironsoftheshow.
27. Theowner,exhibitor,handleroranyotherperson inchargeofadogatKennelClub licensedeventsmustatall timesensurethatthedogiskeptunderpropercontrolwhilstatthelicensedvenue,includingitsenvirons,carandcaravanparksandapproaches.Thisregulationappliesbefore(atanytimeduringthesetupperiodatthevenue).duringtheeventandafterwards(atanytimeduringthebreakdownoftheevent).
28. Shouldanyjudgebepreventedfromfulfillingtheirengagement,theCommitteereservetothemselvestherightofappointingotherjudgestofulfiltheirduties.Exhibitorsareatlibertytowithdrawfromcompetitionbutnoentryfeescanberefunded.
29. SOFTCRATES:TheKennelClubhasdrawnattentiontothepotentialhealthandsafetyimplicationsconcerningtheuseofsoftcratesatshowsasinitsview,theydonotoffersufficientprotectiontodogs.Softcratesleftunattendedattheringsideareapotentialhazardparticularlywhenoccupiedbylargebreeds,andithasbeenknownfordogstobecomedistressedandmovesoftcratesalongthefloorandalsoescape.Softcratesshouldonlybeusedwhenthereissufficientroomavailableandwhentheycanbesecuredsafely.
30. Eachexhibitorisresponsibleforprovidingtheirowncrateorcageidentificationandshouldnotethattheoriginalexhibit/benchnumbercard,asprovidedbytheshowsociety,mustnotbeusedforthispurpose.

(4) AdoginAnyVarietyChampionClass. (5) AsprovidedinKennelClubDefinitionsofClasses. (6) Adogwhichiswithdrawnfromexhibitioninbreedclassesasaresultoftheappointmentofanemergencyjudge. (7) AdoginGoodCitizenSchemeClasses. (8) ExhibitsbredbythescheduledbreedJudge.Ifanexhibitorreportsbeforethejudgingofaclassorclassesthatadoghasbeenenteredwhichisineligible,theexhibitormaychooseoneofthefollowingoptions:- (1) Withdrawal ThedogmaybewithdrawnfromcompetitionsubjecttotheconditionsofRegulations9(j)and20. (2) Transfer a) Ifadogisineligibleforaclassorclassesasregardsitsbreed,colour,sex,weightorheighttheShowSecretaryshall
transferittotheequivalentclassorclassesforthecorrectbreed,colour,sex,weightorheightand,intheeventoftherebeingnoequivalentclass,MinorPuppyandPuppyexceptedtotheOpenclassforthecorrectbreed,colour,sex,weightorheight.
b) IfanexhibitisenteredincorrectlyinaMinorPuppyclass,PuppyclassorJuniorclass,whichisoveragebutundertwelvecalendarmonthsofage,eighteencalendarmonthsofageortwentyfourcalendarmonthsofagerespectively,theShowSecretaryshalltransfertheexhibittothePuppyclass,JuniorclassorYearlingclassrespectivelyforthecorrectbreed,colour,sex,weightorheightandintheeventoftherebeingnoPuppy,JuniororYearlingclasstotheOpenclassforthecorrectbreed,colour,sex,weightorheight.
c) Foranyreasonotherthantheabove,theShowSecretaryshalltransferittotheOpenclassforthecorrectbreed,colour,sex,weightorheight.
d) Ifanexhibitarriveslateandmissesaclass,evenifitistheonlyclassinwhichthedogisentered,thedogmaynotbetransferredtoanyotherclass.
MINOR PUPPYFordogsofsixandnotexceedingninecalendarmonthsofageonthefirstdayoftheShow.PUPPYFordogsofsixandnotexceedingtwelvecalendarmonthsofageonthefirstdayoftheShow.JUNIORFordogsofsixandnotexceedingeighteencalendarmonthsofageonthefirstdayoftheShow.GRADUATEFordogswhichhavenotwonaChallengeCertificateorfourormoreFirstPrizesatChampionshipShowsin
