Advanced computer programs are used to perform such tasks as piping and pumping calculations. Of particular importance to waterline design is the utilization of three dimensional AutoCAD Civil 3D 2017 software. This is a computer aided design package that enables SVA to produce accurate piping maps and profiles from a variety of sources of existing topographical data. Often the need for new aerial photography and mapping (very costly) is eliminated. SVA also uses Bentley WaterCAD software to model complex piping systems to determine cost effective solutions so that they will perform exactly as expected. SVA’s electrical engineering department specializes in water and wastewater plant control systems as well as telemetry system design, maintenance, service, MEP and HVAC. An understanding of Programmable Logic Control Systems and Distributed Control Systems allows SVA’s engineers to design modern systems with the appropriate level of complexity. SVA has been chosen to provide such system design for a variety of clients over the past 18 years. LOCATION SVA is located near Hannibal, Ohio. MECHANICAL ENGINEERING City Building ADA Ramp, Sistersville, WV SVA worked with the WV Division of Culture and History to ensure a level of historic integrity in the design of the ADA-compliant ramp. The Sistersville City Building was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1972. The prominent location of the City Building and its highly symmetrical design made the prospect of adding an ADA-compliant ramp sympathetic to the historic character of the building challenging. Our design solutions retained that level of historic integrity. Key Project Information
