Ceredigion Youth Service receives award for Youth Work!

Ceredigion Youth Service has been awarded the prestigious Bronze Quality Mark for

Youth Work in Wales. The Welsh Government launched the Quality Mark for Youth

Work in Wales in October 2015 to provide a robust, independent, external

assessment of the quality and performance of organisations that deliver youth work

in Wales. Ceredigion Youth Service scored a ‘good practice grade’ against each of

the quality mark indicators, following a comprehensive self-assessment of the

Service and a two day assessment visit, where a team of assessors met with young

people, staff and partners.

The award was presented to some of the youth services’ team, along with Elen James Head of Youth Engagement

and Continuing Education and Councillor Catrin Miles, Cabinet Member with responsibility for Learning Services, at

a recent Youth Excellence Awards Ceremony in Cardiff. Also, attending this awards Ceremony was Gwen Evans and

Rebecca Champ, who were nominated by their colleagues for the “Promoting Employability Skills” award category

which they were successfully shortlisted, but unfortunately missed out.
