Seventeen students performed recorder at the Sydney Opera House on Monday 4th - Thursday 7th September. The recorder students and staff all had a fantastic week. We toured Sydney by train, bus and ferry, managing to cover 13km and 39 floors one day on foot!

We went up the Harbour Bridge Pylon, through the NSW Art Gallery and Botanical Gardens and were special guests on the Sunrise TV show with Kochie and Samantha.

At each location I was thrilled to hear positive comments about our group.

The students were considerate, helpful and enthusiastic throughout the whole trip and made it the best trip to Sydney I have ever had.

I can't wait to do it all again next year - hopefully for Dance at Schools Spectacular!

We slept at the Zoo and went on the behind the scenes tours at night, and of course ....… played at the Sydney Opera House with 800 other recorder players and several hundred other musicians! What an experience!
