that align with the CSU proposal

• Of the 1,435 high schools in California, only16 offer fewer than three qualifying courses. These are predominately small charter schools.

• If a student is not able to fulfill the new requirement due to lack or resources and/or course availability at the high school, an exemption would be provided.

CSU Validation applies to: Math, Language Other than English (LOTE) and Chemistry• Math – C or better in the second semester of Geometry will validate the first

semester, C or better in the first semester of Algebra II validates both semesters of Algebra I, Statistics will validate Algebra I and Algebra II, but will not validate Geometry, Advanced math validates the entire sequence.

The CSU Educational Opportunity Program (EOP)• Students who are historically low-income and educationally

disadvantaged who need admission assistance and support services to succeed in college.

• The EOP application is built into the Cal State Apply application. Students can submit the Cal State Apply application without the EOP portion complete and come back to it.

• Student can come back to the EOP portion of the application after they submit until January 15th

• Some campuses require students to complete EOP portion by December 4th.
