New developments in HEINZMANN OLYMPUS

turbine controls have enabled cost effective fuel

HELENOS

HEINZMANNs digital control for medium speed

engines and turbines. The HELENOS unit formsthe core control of application-dedicated systems

like POSEIDON, PEGASOS and OLYMPUS. Like all

HEINZMANN digital controls it is parametrizable with

DcDesk 2000 program software. It has assignable

I/O and comes in two dif ferent enclosures. External

communication via variable CAN protocols and

ModBus.

PRIAMOS

HEINZMANNs digital control for medium and large

sized engines and turbines in a IP55 enclosure that

can drive HEINZMANNs most powerful actuators

rated up to 300 Nm torque. Configurable with

DcDesk 2000 program software. It has assignable

I/O with dedicated cable harness. External

communication via different CAN protocols.

DIGITAL CONTROL SYSTEMS

PANDAROS

HEINZMANNs smallest digital control for high

speed engines, which drives HEINZMANN actuators

rated up to 30 Nm torque. You can parametrize

PANDAROS with DcDesk 2000 software, as well

as with external or internal programmer. For users

convenience it has 6 configurations with assigned

I/O.

ARTEMIS

HEINZMANNs digital control for dual fuel engines

that drives two actuators for diesel and gas fuel

metering. Diesel/gas rationing as a function of

selectable engine parameters is performed with the

DcDesk 2000 software program. Enclosure meets

typical gas environment requirements. External

communication via CAN protocols.

HERAKLES

HEINZMANNs digital control for the most powerful

actuator control requirements. Maximum torque of

300 Nm is derived of a brushless servomotor.

THESEUS digital

HEINZMANNs digital generator control, manage-

ment and protection system. Suitable for stand-alone

and mains parallel operation with real kW and reac-

tive kVAR load management functions for soft load-

ing, load sharing and import/export control. External

communication via CAN protocols or ModBus.

KRONOS

HEINZMANNs gas engine control components that

include venturi-type gas mixers, throttle valves, mass

flow metering units and both open and closed loop

Air Fuel Ratio (AFR) controls. Different integratedactuator/throttle valve combinations are available for

speed control and exhaust gas recirculation. Misfire

detection is an integral part of our AFR controls.

DARDANOS

HEINZMANNs electronic fuel injection control that

drives solenoid activated diesel and gas injection

systems. DARDANOS is available for 6, 8 and up

to 20 cylinders. Injection timing and duration is setwith DcDesk 2000 software and can be mapped

according to engine designers requirements.

Together with our MEGASOL solenoid operated

gas admission valves, it forms an injection control

system for gas engines. External communication

via CAN protocols or ModBus.

ACCESSORIES SATURNHEINZMANNs remote control system allows

access to any HEINZMANN digital control system

via Internet, LAN, WLAN or point-to-point modem

connection. Control and parameters can be

monitored and adjusted from remote points no

matter whether just across the hall or around the

world.

DcDesk 2000

HEINZMANNS Windows based software program

that is used with all our digital controls to configure

the system, to set parameters, to program control

functions, to monitor, display and record parametersand to monitor and log errors and diagnose those.

Handheld Programmer

HEINZMANNs cost effective alternative for digital

control accessibility. All control parameters can be

adjusted, all measurements can be displayed in

an easy way. Its also helpful for a fast diagnosis of

errors.

ARGOS

HEINZMANNs HMI (human machine interface)

device for use with our THESEUS digital power

management system. This display and operating

device is suitable for integration in cabinet doors and

control panels.

Power Generation

HEINZMANNs digital power management

control THESEUS enhances the

functionality of various HEINZMANNs

digital governors for the control ofgenerator sets in simple and advanced

applications. THESEUS offers a seamless,

integrated generator set control solution,

which includes automatic sequencing,

synchronizing, load management, voltage

regulation and switchgear control. THESEUS

further includes protection and monitoring

functionality. Connectivity to foreign control

systems and the option to communicate

with supervisory systems through variousCAN protocols or ModBus adds to its

versatility.

Locomotives

HEINZMANNs PEGASOS locomotive

control meets the specific requirements

of the railroad market for both diesel-

hydraulic and diesel-electric drives. This

speed and load control has galvanically

isolated inputs and power supply toprotect the internal control electronics

from the adverse locomotive electrical

environment. The combined speed/load

control assures maximal traction efficiency

with its variable excitation control. The

HEINZMANN PEGASOS solution is available

with conventional fuel injection as well as

with Electric Fuel Injection (EFI) systems.

A range of selectable speedsetting modes

makes the PEGASOS eligible for manydifferent engine control systems. PEGASOS

offers the functional versatility for the

upgrading of existing locomotive control

systems.

Marine

POSEIDON is HEINZMANNs specific

systems name for digital controls for

marine operation. The core of the

POSEIDON system is the PRIAMOS orHELENOS control. With HEINZMANNs

software program DcDesk 2000 typical

marine functionality can be selected

such as load management of dual

engine propeller drives, bridge and local

control, engine protection, fuel/load

limiting and shaft generator management.

In order to meet the marine market

requirements of reliability, HEINZMANN

integrates redundant speed sensing andredundant power supply in one sovereign

system. POSEIDON obviously meets

the requirements of the major marine

classification societies.

Gas Engine EmissionControls

The KRONOS air fuel ratio (AFR) control

series ranges from entirely mechanical

carburation equipment to a full authority

AFR control system with integrated speed

governing. KRONOS 20 is based on the

venturi principle and has an electrically

adjustable control valve, that is driven by

an AFR control unit, which uses speed,

manifold pressure and temperature

information for the maintenance of the

desired AFR value. KRONOS 30 combines

the AFR and speed control function for

gas engine applications, which requirethe quickest possible response to speed

and AFR deviations. For this purpose the

KRONOS 30 includes a gas mass metering

block. In order to cope with a wide variety

of gas qualities, the gas metering block

design is very tolerant to wet bio gases and

corrosive contaminants.

Dual Fuel Engines

Dual Fuel applications require liquid/gas

fuel ratio, which has to be adjustable

depending on speed, load and different

engine, gas and operation specifications.

HEINZMANNs ARTEMIS control system,

that covers this kind of applications,

provides the required ratio function and

drives both the diesel and gas metering

device in accordance with the mapped

fuel requirements. All parameters can be

configured and monitored by the softwareprogram DcDesk. 2000 For diesel engine
