1 Purpose
The purpose of this document is to elaborate the hardware configuration and software required
for Client PC to use the OFB e-Procurement portal.
The intended audiences for this document are all the users of OFB e-Procurement portal.
2 Hardware Configuration
Computer with 2.1 GHZ processor or higher 512 MB RAM or higher Internet connection of 512 kbps or higher
3 Software Requirements
We recommend the following:
a) Windows Operating System - Windows XP (Service Pack 3 & above), Windows 7,
Window 8.
b) Internet Browser - Internet Explorer 7.x or higher.
c) Latest version of JRE7 which can be downloaded by the following link:
http://java.com/en/download/inc/windowsupgradeie.jsp
d) Other software applications:
Microsoft Office
Adobe Acrobat Reader
WinZip /WinRAR

4 Browser Settings
For browser settings:
Click on the Tools options from menu list and then click on Internet Options as
shown in Fig. 1.

The Internet Options screen appears as shown in Fig. 2.

Click on the Security tab. The corresponding screen appears as shown in Fig. 3.
Click on Trusted sites and then click on the Sites button as shown in Fig. 3.

Add https://ofbeproc.gov.in in the trusted website Zone. As shown in the Fig.4.

Uncheck the box named “Required server authentication (https :) for all sites in this zone.”. as shown in the Fig. 5 and then click on “Close” button.

Click on Internet and then click on the “Custom Level” button as shown in Fig. 6

Reset the settings to “Medium” or “Low” and click to “Reset’ and OK and then click on
“Apply” and “OK” button on the main window. As shown in the fig 7.

To Delete Browsing History and Cookies Click on the “Delete” button on the
“General” tab, as shown in the Fig. 8.

Click on the “Delete” button again to delete the selected parameters:

Additional Seetings Required for Internet Explorer Version 10:
Click on the “F12 developer tools” under Tools menu.

Select the Compatibility View of IE 10 as shown in the Fig. 9. After the selection,
press F12 button from your keyboad to save the settings.

Compatiablity View Setting for IE-10:
Go to Tools-->CompatiablityView Setting
Click on ‘Compatiablity view setting and then add the respective site
(https://ofbeproc.gov.in) to it.

Type the site (https://ofbeproc.gov.in).
Click on ‘Add’ button to ad the address .

Ensure that OFB e-Procurement application website name appear in the box as indicated below.
Then close the window. The check box settings at the bottom of the window should be as per
the given fig. 10 and then click on the “Close” button to close and save the settings.
Kindly Restart the IE browser after completion of all these setting to get these
changes into effect.

5 Important points to remember
1. Enabled USB Port
o User has to install USB-Token drivers (Compatible to OS) in order to
be able to use e-token (Digital signature) before using the application.
o If USB-Token driver is not installed before usage of application user
cannot use his certificate for application.
2. At the first instance when a user tries to login, the application prompts the user to run a file CryptoApplet. Please select the check box appearing against “Always trust content from this publisher”. Click on “Run” to allow installation of the same.

3. Many a times you may receive the below mentioned msg while trying to after entering User ID/Password. Always remember to select “Don’t Block” in these scenarios.
4. Always check that your e-mail address in your registration is accurate. Otherwise you will not receive notifications for addendum, Tender Enquiry, RFI etc.
5. Bidders are requested to make note of dynamic time being displayed on e-Procurement portal of OFB to ensure that the bids are submitted on time.
6. Bidders are also requested to avoid responding at the last minute. Please try to submit you
Bids through e-Procurement application well in advance.
