Why should you enrol?
You need to enrol with us for a number ofreasons:
• it releases your funding – once you’vefinished enrolment in person when you arrive;
• it may make you eligible for council taxexemption (full-time, fully enrolled studentsonly);
• it allows you access to NOW, the onlinelearning environment at NTU, which holdsyour timetable and module information; and
• it allows you access to University buildingsand your student email.
How to enrol
1. Find your NTU ID
You will find your NTU ID number on theconfirmation letter and confirmation emailyou will have received when your place atNTU was confirmed. This is your studentID number (e.g. N0123456).
2. Get your password and completeyour online enrolment
Visit www.ntu.ac.uk/enrolment andfollow the ‘get or reset your password’ linkto retrieve your password. Use thispassword along with your NTU ID numberto log into online enrolment.
If you cannot find your NTU ID, or haveany problems with online enrolment,contact MyNTU Support on +44 (0)115 848 2855 between 9am and4.30pm (Monday to Thursday) or 9am and4pm (Friday).
If your course requires you to complete aDisclosure and Barring Service (DBS) (orother fit to practice) check, you mustcomplete this prior to enrolment. If youhaven't done so, you won't be able to fullyenrol on your course. Visitwww.ntu.ac.uk/dbs to check if thisapplies to you.

Enrolment is where you officially register as a student with us. Most stages of theenrolment process can be completed online, but the final stages take place onceyou arrive on campus.
Please ensure that you complete your online enrolment before you arrive.

Paying your tuition fees
You can pay your fees in one go or arrange topay in instalments using our online paymentsystem. Visit www.ntu.ac.uk/onlinepaymentfor more information.
If you haven’t set up a payment arrangementbefore your course starts, you’ll only receivetemporary enrolment status and will be givennotice to arrange your payment.
Funding your studies
There are a number of funding opportunitiesavailable to postgraduate students. Theseinclude a postgraduate loan scheme (seebelow), University scholarships, and fundingfrom public bodies.
Postgraduate loans
Postgraduate loans are available for Mastersdegrees. For students eligible to apply throughStudent Finance England, the maximum loanavailable for the whole of your course is£10,280. This is divided equally across eachyear of your course. It is paid directly to youand can be used to contribute towards fees,maintenance costs, or other expenses.
Sort out your fees and fundingYou’ll need to research funding opportunities and make arrangements to pay yourfees before you arrive at NTU.
Once your application for the postgraduate loanhas been approved by Student FinanceEngland, the loan will be released to you onceyou have completed your enrolment (includingsetting up an instalment arrangement to payyour tuition fees) and collected your studentcard. The loan is paid in three termlyinstalments. Visit www.ntu.ac.uk/pgloans formore information on both course and personaleligibility for these loans.
Students from Wales, Scotland and NorthernIreland are advised to consult their nationalstudent finance service for further informationabout loans for postgraduate study.

1. Get your induction timetable
Visit www.ntu.ac.uk/induction to find out what your course induction includes.
Download your induction timetable and plan your other activities around it. It’s crucial that youattend all of your course induction activities, so make sure that you know where you need to beand when.

3. Your course timetable
Your full course timetable will be available on NOW once you arrive and complete your enrolment.

Some courses give you a task to complete before you arrive at NTU.

NTU is supporting the NHS campaign encouraging all new students to protect themselves againstmeningitis. We strongly advise you to get the new MenACWY vaccine from your GP before you arrive,to make sure you are fully protected against meningitis. Completing your enrolment Once you arrive at the University you’ll need to complete the enrolment processand collect your NTU student card.
Note: It’s essential that you enrol at the University. Not enrolling may result in your access toUniversity buildings and facilities being suspended.
You can complete your enrolment at any of our campuses. For example, if you study at the CliftonCampus but live in the city, you can drop in to our City Campus enrolment location.

What to do at enrolment
Collect your NTU student card
Your student card is your key to university life. As well as being an ID card, it’s your Students’Union membership card, access card, library card, sport and fitness membership card and yourbus and tram travel card. You can also use your student card to pay for purchases in our Tasteoutlets on campus, and for library, printing and photocopying costs.
Register with the Student Health Centre
There are medical health centres based at both the City and Clifton campuses. Studentsstudying at Brackenhurst usually register with the Southwell Medical Centre.
After you’ve picked up your student card, you’ll have the chance to sign up to a health centre.
View your timetable
Once you’ve completed your enrolment, log on to https://now.ntu.ac.uk to get your full coursetimetable.
Take advantage of student discounts
A range of student discounts are available at the enrolment events to make starting Universitythat bit easier. Add discounted extras on to your NTU student card, such as bus travel. Visitwww.ntu.ac.uk/ucycle to hire a University bike to get around campus, or buy discounted homecontents insurance specifically for students.

What is NTSU?
Your Students’ Union is here to represent you.NTSU campaigns at a local and national level tomake sure your education and time spent inNottingham is the best it can be. NTSU is runby an elected Executive Committee of currentand recently graduated students, keeping yourviews at the heart of the Union’s activities. Youwill be able to vote in elections throughout theyear to choose your representatives, including aMature & Postgraduate Officer and AcademicReps who can help you make changes to yourcourse.
What’s on offer?
As well as representation, NTSU offers anInformation and Advice Service (IAS) for NTUstudents. There are over 90 societies and 60sports clubs, as well as volunteering, fundraisingand a host of activities to get involved in. Theseall provide great opportunities for socialisingand personal development to augment yourstudies. City: Our City Campus Students’ Union offers three storeys of social and leisure space, including a roof garden and sports facilities built to Sport England’s standards. This includes a dance studio, a 100-station fitness suite, and a 30 ft climbing wall.
Clifton: Our Clifton Campus Students’ Union is called The Point, a Wi-Fi enabled pub, coffee shop,diner and club all rolled into one.
Brackenhurst: The Brackenhurst Students’ Union revolves around Brack Bar and The Orangery, abar and café offering space to relax and enjoy some food and drink at student-friendly prices.

NTSU was awarded Higher Education Students’ Union of the Year 2015 by the NationalUnion of Students (NUS) and consistently appears in the top 10 of the National StudentSurvey. How to get around
Nottingham has a tram network, with stopsaround the centre and close to some of ourhalls of residence. Visit www.thetram.net forfurther information.
Travel to our Clifton Campus
If you’re studying at our Clifton or Brackenhurstcampuses, the easiest way to reach the city is tocatch the bus. Our Clifton Campus is served bythe number 4 Go2Uni bus, which takes around20 to 25 minutes. The bus stops in the citycentre, as well as at Nottingham train station.
Travel to our Brackenhurst Campus
If you’re studying at our Brackenhurst Campus,you can travel to Nottingham city centre usingthe number 100 bus service. There is a bus stopjust outside Brackenhurst and travel to the citycentre takes around 45 minutes.
