Gentlemen:-

I would respectfully call your attention to the fa H y of the widowed Mrs.W,Wildfang, 61 Albert S$,8. of this city,

Mrs, Wildfang's eldest son,Gordon, has unlisted in the 118th Batall ion thus reducing the family income. The condition is aggravated by reason of the mother's semiinvalidism now for a year past, a condition to remain, for some time to come, Thi3 increases the expense and makes it impos -ible for her to assist the thr°« younger children in earning a 1 ivelihood*

I hope you will find it possible to look into this cas° and give the assistance needed.

Sincerely yours.

Dear Vic:

I have your letter of the 3rd, Ult.

together with stated enclosures, all regarding

Pte. Marr. With the use of these, I shall do

my "best to secure separation allowance and I

think that I shall be successful, although, the

regulations in this regard are very stringent.

Wishing you well in every regard, I

retrain,

Faithfully yours,

Lieut.-Col.

Re No. 73148$. Pte. Marr

Sir:

It appears Beyond all reasonable doubt

that the soldier marginally named should either

be discharged or be allowed separation allowance

for his mother. While it is true that his father

is still living it is yet equally true that he is

the sole support of his mother and I therefore

strongly recommend that separation allowance be

allowed.

The letters encl-osed herewith, go a long

way towards corroborating my own personal finding

in this connection.

Y/ill you, therefore, please bring this to

the attention of the proper authorities at your

earliest convenience.
