Disparity Dinner
Each guest must draw from the Birth Lottery
at the door to determine the Socio-economic
status of the meal they will receive. There are
three classes of meal available: Chicken dinner
with all the trimmings, vegetarian Chili with
rice, and rice with water. There will be door
prizes and a chance to learn more about our
featured charity the SMD (Shree Mangal Dvip)
Boarding School which helps over 500 impov-
erished children from remote mountainous
areas of Nepal to get education, good nutri-
tion and safety.
Thrangu Rinpoche founded SMD Boarding
School to serve the needs of children from
remote hamlets on the Nepal - Tibet border
where villagers eke out a living as subsistence
farmers and semi-nomadic yak herders. It's a hardscrabble, hungry life...many children don't survive to see their 5th
birthday.

After School Study Sessions In order to assist students in all grades in preparing for their final exams, there will be after school study groups from Monday to Thursday, 3:30—5:00 p.m. now until June 12th. Students will have the opportunity to ask specific questions on course material that they are unsure about. This will aid students who have missed a unit, or need some clarification on facts, formulas, and procedures, in all subject areas. STUDENTS MUST PRE-REGISTER in the Career Centre in order to be provided with help on these days. There is no charge for these sessions and we hope that students will take advantage of this free one-on-one help.
Mrs. Cindy Visser, Career Advisor 403-356-5315
Rock the Diploma There is still limited availability in Rock the Diploma weekend review sessions. Registration forms can be picked up at the school office, the Career Centre, or the Student Assistance Centre. Completed forms and payment must be returned to the Career Centre. Cost is $135.00/session.
Peer Tutor Program We had a very successful peer tutor program this year. A special thank you to the students in all grades who shared their knowledge with other stu-dents to enable them to find success in their core subject areas.
