WORKING LOGIC

COOLING CAPACITY CONTROLThe cooling capacity control is made on the air delivery temperature.

The inverter driven compressor can change the load continuously and the regulation of therefrigerant circuit can be easily adapted, without oscillations and transients, to the operatingconditions required. The system is highly efficient because it is supplying only the energy necessary to satisfy the

required thermal load; furthermore the system can supply cooling capacity even in case ofoverload conditions.

EQUIPMENTSmall size models are equipped with a single inverter driven orbiting spiral (SCROLL)hermetic compressor. Medium and big size models are equipped with one inverter drivenmain compressor and one or two ON/OFF orbiting spiral (SCROLL) hermetic compressors.

AIR FLOW CONTROL ACCORDING TO AIR RETURN TEMPERATUREThe plug fans modulate the air flow using as variable the distance from the temperaturesetpoint. It’s possible to define the minimum and maximum air flow through dedicated parameters.

A third level, lower than the minimum settable, can be reached by the unit in the followingoperating conditions:

"Standby" (the unit is ON, but without cooling request) with the target of granting the

minimum air flow necessary to allow correct ambient temperature reading at theprobes.

“Dehumidification”  (dehumidification only operating condition) with the target ofamplifying the deumidification effect over the handled air.

AIR FLOW CONTROL AS FUNCTION OF THE UNDERFLOOR PRESSUREThe plug fans modulate the air flow using as variable the distance of a signal, coming from adifferential pressure probe, from the set point. It’s possible to define the minimum and maximum air flow through dedicated parameters.

ELECTRICAL DATA

MAXIMUM ELECTRICAL ABSORPTION CALCULATIONThis chapter has the aim to explain the calculation of the maximum absorbed current by theunit (A), corresponding to extreme working conditions.

Example in cooling mode for unit NEXT EVO INV DX S U 010 M 1 E1

COOLING (1)- Main fans (FLA) A 2,2 +- Compressor (FLA) A 14,9 +- Electric heaters (OA) A 7.4 =Absorbed current A 24,5

COOLING (2)- Main fans (FLA) A 2,2 +- Compressor (FLA) A 14,9 +- Humidifier (FLA) A 8,8 =Absorbed current A 25,9

HEATING (3)- Main fans (FLA) A 2,2 +

- Electric heaters (OA) A 7.4 +- Humidifier (FLA) A 8,8 =Absorbed current A 18,4

The COOLING (2) working condition corresponds to the unit maximum electric absorption.

IMPORTANTFor the fans, the current nominal values have been considered equal to the data platevalues. For this reason, the nominal current and the data plate current are the same.Actually, the real absorbed current is normally lower than the data plate value. These values depend on the unit working conditions and on the type of control of theplant.

OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES - EXTRA CIRCUIT SYSTEM

(size E0 excluded)This system consists of one chilled water cooling coil and one motorized valve directly drivenby the microprocessor control system. The chilled water cooling coil is installed in the return air stream just before the main coolingcoil. In this way the air is partially or totally cooled before entering the main cooling coil.

WORKING LOGICThe installation of the EXTRA CIRCUIT on the machine allows to obtain a dual source coolingsystems. Thanks to the EXTRA CIRCUIT and to the microprocessor control system, the machine canrun either as a modulating chilled water system or as a direct expansion system, or as acombination of both. With this system it is possible, with a limited use of space, to solve several plant problemssuch as:- EXTRA CIRCUIT fed with chilled water or mains water as a stand-by of the main cooling

circuit.- Main cooling circuit as a stand-by for the EXTRA CIRCUIT operation achieved via remote

water chillers.- EXTRA CIRCUIT operation during office hours by connection to the central chilled water

plant with main cooling circuit operation during the remaining hours.- Main cooling circuit working as a back up to the EXTRA CIRCUIT to balance possible

peaks of the room load.
