The President’s Message...
It is a first. I have been a
member for almost 8 years and I
have never seen a nomination meet-
ing that didn’t advance nominations
from the floor. It speaks to the tre-
mendous job Joey Beliveau, Chuck
Stricker and Tis Tysver did putting
together the slate of officers. It is
encouraging to see so many new
members stepping up to serve and
guide our club. We have made great
strides in the improvement of our
club and I am confident that with this
new slate of officers we will con-
tinue to grow and prosper. Thanks to
those that are stepping up as leaders
and thanks to our nominating com-
mittee’s efforts to put forth a great
slate of nominees.
I was recently asked why we
aren’t spending some of our monies
on a new sound system. Truth is,
Butch has been looking into a new
sound system for some time, but after
spending a great deal of money im-
proving our club this year, our board
is a bit nervous about over spend-
ing. I am sure that you will see a
surge in such spending after the first
of the year when our membership
dues come in. This is a non-profit
club and we intend to continue spend-
ing our revenue to improve it. A new
sound system as well as acoustics
will be some of the first priorities.
If you have other thoughts as
to where our revenues should be
spent, please let the board and offi-
cers know. Your input means a lot
and we appreciate your
thoughts. Your guidance helps insure
our clubs success. Bill Reed

Hello fellow ORC members,
As many of you know, one of our long time members, Valerie Dodd,
is having a rough time fighting cancer. She had to stop working to go
through all the necessary tests and treatments. This has been a very ex-
pensive and painful battle as many of you know. Valerie is a very private
person and does not want to burden anyone with her problems. There is a
site set up to help anyone donate whatever they would like to contribute.
It all goes to Valerie! I have donated myself and verified that 100%
goes to her. Val has given so much of herself to the ORC..let’s give her a
hand by donating. Thank you for your consideration and keep her in your
prayers. The site is www.gofundme.com. Look for Val’s Warriors. Thanks
to the club members who have already donated.

I want to take this opportu-
nity to thank all of our members who
have humored me in my search for
new bands and entertainment. When
you have a diverse group of people
like we do, you need a variety of ac-
tivities so that everybody can enjoy.
Some like dances, some like sitting
on the deck and chatting. I am al-
ways open to suggestions and will
try anything once. Some things work
better than others, some things don't
work. If we haven't found your hot
button yet, hang in there WE WILL!
