 Procedure If you are unfamiliar with the following procedure, you may want to copy step 2 to a Microsoft Word document (or other), so that you can refer to it while sched uling the analysis job. 1.) Choose the correct system in Solution Landscape. 2.) Choose 'Start ST14 in Target System'. The session will first try to use the RFC destination which is maintained in SMS Y for the selected system, in the column 'RFC for Solution Manager'. This is usu ally a TRUSTED or a LOGIN destination. The logon user of any TRUSTED connection you are using from your Solution Manager system, has to be known to the managed (target) system as well, otherwise there will be no logon screen. - Log on to the system from the remote logon screen (applicable for LOGIN destin ations only). - Choose 'Basis & Others'. - Choose 'Schedule Job'. - Enter the basic information (client, title...). - In the Analysis Scope section, set the flag for ' DVM - Self Service (Best Pra ctice Session) ' - Schedule the job with the immediate start option. - If the analysis job is created successfully, return to the session. 3.) Choose 'Refresh Job Status'. - The 'Job Overview' tab page contains the status of the current analysis job in the same way as in SM37. - The 'TAANA Worklist' tab page shows the TAANA status of each table 4.) If the analysis jobs finish, - Copy the GUID. - Choose 'Download Analysis'. - Choose 'Cross Application Components' or 'Basis & Others' as required. - From the menu, choose Utilities -> Analysis Browser. Expand 'Search Criteria', input the GUID that you copied, and choose search. - Select the GUID, select the correct remote system (SAPNet or Solution Manager) , and choose 'Download Analysis'. 5.) If the analysis jobs abort, you can choose 'Show Jobs' to jump to SM37 in ta rget system to troubleshoot. Once you have resolved the problem, choose 'Re-Star t ST14'. Rating The session is automatically rated by the system when you save the check. Troubleshooting If any issues arise during the preparation of the service (such as problems in S T14 data collection), , see the error message or open a message on component SV- SMG-SER with the title 'DVM Best Practice'. Hint: Execute report "RTCCTOOL" (SE38) to double-check that all traffic lights a re green. SAP Note 69455 is of particular importance for service delivery since the ST-A/PI plug-ins must be up to date.
