Our Father, I thank You for being so good to me. You are my provider and show me great and mighty things and for that I say thank You. Help me father to always seek Your will and Your way for my life. I know I am more than a conqueror through Him who loves me. Fear has no place in my life, because You have not given me a spirit of fear. I am confident that no weapon formed against me will prosper, because God is for me. Who can be against me. Every curse spoken against me is no avail, because I am blessed. Satan can’t curse those whom God has blessed. I am blessed coming in and blessed going out. My enemies shall come up against me one way and God will cause them to flee seven ways. All that I set my hands to do will prosper in the name of Jesus. I am the head and not the tail. I am above only and not beneath. Father, I am persuaded that neither death, no life, nor angles, nor principalities, nor power, not things to come, not height, nor depth, nor any other creature shall be able to separate me from the love of God. So I will not be pulled to and fro because I am maturing daily in the things of God (Eph. 4:14). I live in the rhema, and it is activating signs, wonders and miracles around me on a normal basis. Father, thank You for blessing me indeed. Let there be no question that You are working on my behalf. You have brought me a mighty long way. Keep me from evil, so that my spirit will not be grieved or my soul pushed out of alignment in the name of Jesus. Thank You for the gift given to me through impartation. Let Your resources come through equipping and discernment through activation in the name of Jesus. I declare that I (people of God) will not be ignorant of the devices of the enemy and I (we) will sharply detect the wiles of darkness in these last days in the name of Jesus. I ask these things in the mighty name of Jesus. I pray this prayer in the mighty name of Jesus! Amen & Amen The Intercessory Prayer Ministry

Thankfulness - The Antidote for Greed
Gratitude is more than pausing once a year to offer up thanks. It’s more than a
snappy word that rhymes with “attitude.” I am told that of all the human emotions,
gratitude is the most powerful. Gratitude is so powerful it can obliterate fear,
hopelessness and doubt. Gratitude can heal a broken heart, slow the aging process
and restore broken relationships. Gratitude creates hope and hope brings joy. It is in
joy, not fear, that we can find strength.
Greed is the enemy. Never in this history of our country has so much meant so little
to so many. The easy availability of credit has allowed us to live beyond our means.
It has encouraged greed to creep into every area of our lives. Some call this affliction
Affluenza- an unhappy condition of overload, debt, anxiety and waste resulting from
the dogged pursuit of more. The more we have, the more we want. The more we
want, the more it takes to feel satisfied. The more credit we accept the farther we
slide into debt. The more we have the greedier we become and the more we suffer
from possession overload. We let what we lack prevent gratitude for what we
already have. Affluenza in its advanced stages leads to stress. And stress leads to the
breakdown of mental and physical health.
Gratitude is the antidote. Gratitude, the conscious and heartfelt expression of
appreciation and thankfulness, is the number one best antidote for dissatisfaction.
Greed says I must have more.
Gratitude counters with I have more than enough.
Greed says my life is pathetic: gratitude says I am so blessed.
Greed steals joy and gratitude restores joy.
To develop gratitude you need to talk to yourself and regularly write your thoughts.
The idea is to begin to see all of life including the difficult times, as challenges,
opportunities and blessings. You may also find it helpful to “reframe” a situation- to
choose to see if from a new perspective. Reframing can be difficult but is especially
important when misfortune strikes. If you wreck your car, that is unfortunate. Still, it
means you’re alive and that is something for which to be grateful and you get bonus
reasons for gratitude if no one was hurt, you have a good insurance policy or the car
wasn’t totaled. Authentic and heartfelt gratitude can hush up insatiable desires and
negative attitudes. For instance, you can hate your job, hate the boss, hate the
people, hate the commute and hate the work. Or, you can be genuinely grateful that
you have a job. You can learn to appreciate everything about that job, even the
distasteful aspects because they build your character, tolerance and compassion. No
matter what the situation, you choose your focus. If you choose fear and anger,
expect depression and misery. If you choose to respond with a grateful heart, expect
hope, satisfaction and joy. Yes joy, even in the midst of adversity.
Giving is the action. Want to really pull the plug on your greed? Become a giver.
Giving away some of what is most precious to you- your money—is the ultimate
thank-you note. Giving allows us to take our eyes off our own situations to view the
world through new eyes of compassion. Giving is an outward expression of personal
affirmation that no matter how bleak your situation may appear, you really do have
enough. Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and
more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. Gratitude
can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. It brings
strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow.

The Great American Smokeout
Every year, on the third Thursday of November, smokers across the nation take part in the American Cancer Society Great American
Smokeout. Some use the date to make a plan to quit. The Great American Smokeout event challenges people to stop using tobacco and
helps people learn about the tools they can use to quit and stay quit.
Research shows that smokers are most successful in kicking the habit when they have support, such as:
Telephone smoking-cessation hotlines
Stop-smoking groups
Online quit groups
Counseling
Nicotine replacement products
Prescription medicine to lessen cravings
Guide books
Encouragement and support from friends and family members
Using 2 or more of these measures to quit smoking works better than using any one of them alone.
Annual Great American Smokeout events began in the 1970s, when smoking and secondhand smoke were common.
Each year, the Great American Smokeout event draws attention to preventing the deaths and chronic diseases caused by smoking and helps
fuel new laws that save lives.
States with strong tobacco control laws are now reaping the fruits of their labor. From 1965 to today, cigarette smoking among adults in the
United States decreased from 42% to about 17%. Strong smoke-free policies, media campaigns, and increases in the prices of tobacco
products are at least partly credited for these decreases.
Still, today about 1 in 5 US adults smoke cigarettes. Smoking is estimated to cause 32% of all cancer deaths in the US, including 83% of
lung cancer deaths in men and 76% of lung cancer deaths in women.
Secondhand smoke (SHS) is also called environmental tobacco smoke (ETS). It’s a mixture of 2 forms of smoke that come from burning
tobacco:
Mainstream smoke: The smoke exhaled by a smoker.
Sidestream smoke: Smoke from the lighted end of a cigarette, pipe, or cigar, or tobacco burning in a hookah. This type of smoke has higher
concentrations of cancer-causing agents (carcinogens) and is more toxic than mainstream smoke.
When non-smokers are exposed to SHS it’s called involuntary smoking or passive smoking. Non-smokers who breathe in SHS take in
nicotine and toxic chemicals the same way smokers do. The more SHS you breathe, the higher the levels of these harmful chemicals in your
body.
Secondhand smoke (SHS) has the same harmful chemicals that smokers inhale. There’s no safe level of exposure for secondhand smoke
(SHS).
Young children are most affected by SHS and least able to avoid it. Most of their exposure to SHS comes from adults (parents or others)
smoking at home. Studies show that children whose parents smoke:
Get sick more often
Have more lung infections (like bronchitis and pneumonia)
Are more likely to cough, wheeze, and have shortness of breath
Get more ear infections
Secondhand smoke can also trigger asthma attacks, make asthma symptoms worse, and even cause new cases of asthma in kids who didn’t
have symptoms before.
In very young children, SHS also increases the risk for more serious problems, including sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS). There is no
safe exposure to second hand smoke.
Quitting tobacco is not easy, but it can be done. If you smoke please plan to participate in the Great American Smokeout on Nov 16th 2017.
The sooner you quit, the more you can reduce your chances of getting cancer and other diseases. Go to https://www.cancer.org/healthy/stay-
away-from-tobacco.html or call 1-800-227-2345 to get more information on quitting tobacco.
Stay in Good Health

Reasons Why Thankfulness is Good for Your Marriage
Thankfulness is an optimistic state of mind. When you look for reasons to be thankful, you are choosing to see the glass half full. You are choosing to overlook the negative because you want to see the positive. Thankfulness makes a way to keep your hope alive no matter what the circumstances look like. Thankfulness creates an atmosphere for positive change. When you have a thankful heart it also comes with patience and grace. And any time you have patience and grace you give yourself and your spouse room to breath and opportunity to grow into better people. Thankfulness is attractive. When you see someone with a thankful heart it is compelling. It makes it easy to be near that person. In contrast when you see someone who is ungrateful there is a kind of bitterness about them that makes you want to go the other way. Thankfulness keeps your life in balance. Life seems to always bring all sorts of challenges our way. When we are not careful we can stay so focused on overcoming our challenges and just as soon as we conquer one thing we are eager to move on to the next, all the while forgetting to stop and smell the roses along the way. Life is too short to not enjoy the journey. Thankfulness has a way of slowing us down so we can enjoy life with the people who matter most to us. Thankfulness is good for you. Your physical, mental, and spiritual health will reap the benefits from a thankful heart. With a thankful heart you will see better results from all your efforts which will in return reduce stress in your life. And with less stress you will be a healthier person. Thankfulness is God’s way. As Christians we know that keeping God at the center of our marriages is a vital part of a successful marriage. But you cannot keep God at the center of your marriage if your heart is not thankful. If you take your relationship with the Lord serious then you know He wants you to be thankful. Thankfulness improves communication. You and your spouse will have much better communication if you both express gratitude and appreciation toward one another. This is way more than just being polite and having good manners. It’s like I said about attractiveness. Thankfulness will make you want to come closer and to know each other better, which is what real communications does for you. Thankfulness makes for closer friendship. The bond that you want to have with your spouse that carries you through your entire lives will not come if you’re not thankful for each other and this life you have together. Real friendship cannot exist unless you have mutual value for each other. And how can you value someone unless you’re thankful for them. Thankfulness sets the best example. Raising children can be one of the best things and one of the most stressful things that can take place in a marriage. While there is way too much to be said about raising children and the impact it has on marriage, I do want to mention this one thing. If you want the joy of seeing your children express thankfulness then there must be good examples set for them to mimic.
God bless! And Happy Thanksgiving! The Lees
