2019 TAIWAN 3RD INTERNATIONAL CLASSICAL AND TRADITIONAL
MUSIC AWARDS
★purpose
Supported by Taiwan International Artists Association, Taiwan Federation of Literary and Art Circles,
Hong Kong Smart Art Association, Chinese Music Department of National Taiwan University of Arts, Chinese
Music Department of Chinese Culture University, Assoclation of Vocal Artlsts of R. O. C., Sing Music
Studio(Hong Kong), Unique Chamber Music Groups and IDEAL NUSIC Studio(Malaysia), International
Classical And Traditional Music Competition provides a platform for artists and art lovers all over the world
to learn and interact with each other. In 2017,the first competition attracted excellent musicians from
Taiwan, China, Hong Kong and Japan to get together in Taiwan.To pass down the successful experience in
2017, this year, the organizers and co-organizers want to profoundly promote the essence and spirit of
classical and traditional music culture through various means of communications. To attract more talented
musicians, aside from changing the name into International Classical and Traditional Music Awards”, the
competition will be categorized into professional group and amateur group,which allows amateur talents to
join in this competition . Besides, during the competition ,activities such as academic events and art
exchanges will be held to let participants enjoy a harmonious, pleasant atmosphere , and elevate their
music and art level at the same time.
The judges invited to the Grand Prix are all international professional musicians. Best players from all
over the world will come to Taiwan for the final contest. This year, gold awards, silver awards, bronze
awards and excellence awards will be set in both professional and amateur groups. Also, the “Special Jury
Prize”, ”Hong Kong Smart Art Association Award“ ,"Excellent Overseas Musician Award"and “Future Start
Award” will be selected among all the gold award winners, while "Best Performer for the Audience" will be
voted by the audience.
We believe that the 3RD competition can help carry forward the heritage and exchange of music and
culture under the promotion of organizers.

★Regulations
1. Accompaniment CD is not allowed in Vocal and Erhu Contest.

2. Contestants promoted to the Special Jury Prize concert should present the selfselected tracks completely in
the concert . However, if the total length of the musician's selfselected tracks exceeds 10 minutes, he should
select a paragraph to be performed at the concert after being coordinated with the jury.
3. Contestants should not lie about their age, or their eligibility will be cancelled.
4. Contestants can change their tracks during the registration period. If the track is inconsistent with the original
one, the jury will deduct 2 points from their average score.
5. Professional group is for professional musicians ,but non-professional musicians can sign up for Professional
group as well.
6. Please respect intellectual property rights. The organizer is not responsible for any infringement of
copyrights .
7. Once you submit the registration form and pay the registration fee, we won’t refund the fee even you give
up the competition.
8. The organizer has the right of portrait of all participating players.The organizer can use their photos,films to
promote the competition.
9.The order of contestants is determined through draws.
10. Winners of each group can receive their prizes shortly after the announcement of results, or in the award
ceremony in golden award concert.
11.The rules for tracks to each group are different. Please read the details of each group carefully.
12.The Organizing Committee reserves the right of final explanation of this competition and relevant activities.
★Competition standard
1.The performing skills, annotation to music demeanour of competitors are all criteria for judgment.
2.The jury will score fairly, and has the right of final decision. Contestants cannot lodge objections to the
results.
3.When the competition ends, the staff will take down the scores. After the jury recheck their scores and
make sure they are all correct, winners of each competition and the average scores of all contestants will be
announced.
4.The gold medal winners scored an average of 88 points (inclusive) and won the gold medal winners final
concert performance opportunities.
★Awards
Each competition sets:
1.Glod Award - "only one winner will be selected."- Trophy and Certificate
2.Silver Award - Trophy and Certificate.
3.Bronze Award - Trophy and Certificate.
4.Fourth Prize -Trophy and Certificate.

5.Fifth Prize - Trophy and Certificate.
6.Excellent Award -" The winner should attain at least 80.00 marks(inclusive)." - Certificate.
7.International Excellent Teacher Award -"Toturs of the Glod, Silver, Bronze Awards winners." - Certificate
8.Special Jury Prize (one winner will be selected from piano, vocal and erhu category) - a total of cash prize
NT15,000, Trophy and Certificate will be awarded to each winner.
9.Hong Kong Smart Art Association Special Award (one winner will be selected from piano, vocal and erhu
category) - Trophy and Certificate will be awarded. The winner will be invited to perform in Hong Kong in
year 2020 with a total of performance allowance HK$2,000.
10.Audience Vote Award - In the gold medal concert, it is selected by the audience. Certificates and
bonuses of NT$5,000.
11.Excellent Overseas Musician Award- (one for piano, vocal and erhu). - Certificate, bonus NT$2,500.
12.Best New Artist Award- (one piano, vocal, one erhu). - Certificate, bonus NT$2,500.
13.The Organizing Committee reserves the right of final explanation of this competition and relevant
activities.
◆If the winner refuse the invitation to perform in the events mentioned above , the winner forfeit his right
to the award bonus.
