The Mission At Family Christian Center School, we believe that every student can learn and succeed. We are committed to a school of excellence helping students to flourish spiritually, academically and socially.

The Vision Family Christian Center School is dedicated to academic excellence and fostering meaningful spiritual growth. We are committed to coming along side of families to train up a child in the way they should go (Proverbs 22:6) and holding faculty and staff to a high standard of moral character and integrity (Titus 2:7).

Statement of Faith ● We believe the Holy Bible to be the infallible Word of God and believe it to be the

standard for living for those who follow God. ● We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and

Holy Spirit. ● We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in

His miracles, in His atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

● We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.

● We believe that man is given new life and is brought back into a proper relationship with God by personally trusting Jesus as personal Savior, and that an individual is only redeemed by God’s grace through faith, not good works or service.

● We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life.

● We believe in the resurrection of the saved to new life. ● We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

ACADEMICS GRADELINK Family Christian Center School has implemented the online Gradelink system for grading purposes throughout all grade levels. Gradelink is a system that enables parents and students to have 24-hour access to their grades, emergency contact list, and other personal information. After enrollment, an email will be sent to all parents including a username and password for their individual accounts.

GRADING SCALE The academic achievement of all students is assessed using a numerical grading scale, with 100% being a perfect score. Letter grades are assigned to scores within certain ranges as follows:

1ST – 12TH GRADE SCALE

90-100 A

80-89 B

70-79 C

60-69 D

0-59 F

CURRICULUM ● Currently, FCCS uses the Abeka curriculum. All subjects are taught through biblical

integration and are fully aligned to state standards. ● Student growth is evaluated each year in the fall and spring through formal standardized

assessment. ● Based on availability, our middle/high school curriculum offers honors courses within the

core academic subjects. Student placement is determined by careful review of report card grades and teacher recommendations. GPA weight will apply.

● Our K-4th grade students will receive weekly classes in Physical Education, Art, Music, Computer and Spanish.

● In 5th-12th grades, each student is surveyed and may choose their choices in order of preference. Electives may vary depending on student interests but may include courses such as Music, Art, Computers, Physical Education, STEM, Drama and Career Exploration.

● Communication between parents and teachers is essential for educational success. We encourage parents to use the agenda and Gradelink to monitor your student’s progress.

● Teachers are required to communicate with parents in the following ways: ○ Elementary- Weekly newsletter in print or electronically ○ Middle/High- Weekly email
