Telegram Service
Australia
Communication of 3.VIII.2005:
Telstra Corporation Limited (“Telstra”), Melbourne Victoria, announces that it will no longer provide the national and international telegram service to and from Australia as from 1st July 2005.
In order to provide a continuing service option for Telstra’s customers, Telstra has transferred its existing telegram business to Matrix Omni Solutions Pty. Ltd (“Matrix”) – ABN 99 083 936 903. Matrix will use Telstra’s existing network infrastructure, under contract, to provide an equivalent ongoing service. This should mean a minimum of disruption to the termination and transit of international telegram traffic through Australia.
The List of Telegram Destination Indicators, published in accordance with ITU-T Recommendation F.32, will be updated accordingly.*
