Directions Directions to Newport Shipyard from Boston/I-93:
− Take I-93 South to − Rt. 24 South (exit is on the left) − Continue on Rt. 24 for ½ hour to Rt. 195 West − Take first exit (onto Rt. 24 South to Newport) − Continue for 10-15 minutes to Rt. 114 Note: Rt. 24 will end after Exit
1 and you will be on Rt. 114 − Follow Rt. 114 until you see Burger King on left, take right at light
(Coddington Highway.) Continue to Rotary. − Go around Rotary until last exit from the Rotary to the Newport
Bridge. Important: Immediately take a sharp right hand turn after getting off Rotary
− Travel 100 yards up the ramp. Important: Look for an opening in the guard rail on the left and follow. If you miss the opening you will be heading across the Newport Bridge into Jamestown
− Right at the 2nd light, America’s Cup Avenue (no sign) − Right at the 1st light, Gladys Carr Bolhouse Road, follow this around − Left at stop sign, the Shipyard will be on your right.
Directions to Newport Shipyard from South of Newport/ I-95:
− Follow I-95 North to Rhode Island − Take Exit 3A To Rt. 138 East − Follow Rt. 138 East for 10 – 15 miles to Rt. 1 − Take left at light (Mobile Station on right) and go approx. 2 miles − See sign “Newport – Jamestown”. Take this exit to be back on Rt. 138
East − Follow Rt. 138 East, you will go over the Jamestown Bridge and then
the Newport Bridge ($5 toll or EZ Pass) − Take the first exit off the bridge, “Scenic Newport”, go right − Right at the 2nd light, America’s Cup Avenue (no sign) − Right at the 1st light, Gladys Carr Bolhouse Road, follow this around − Left at stop sign, the Shipyard will be on your right.

Shipyard Amenities Golf Carts – NSY has two passenger golf carts and two work carts available for customer use. * Max load for long bed golf cart is 1500lbs. Dock Carts – Available for customer use and are stored at the top of each dock. Work Floats – Work floats can be rented for $50 per 1/2 day. Please see the Dock Office for additional information. Tenders – There is one tender available for customer use, if it is not being used by the Yard. Please see the Dock Office for availability. Gym Facility – Equipped with treadmills, bikes, rowing machine, Wii Fit, and other work out equipment. See the Dock Office for additional information and to sign waiver. Laundry – Two washer and two dryer machines are located on the first floor, on the east side of the Yard office. Washers and dryers are coin operated (a change machine is next to the machines) and are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Showers / Bathrooms – Located on the east side of Yard office. Open 24/7 and do not require a key or code. NSY Tent / BBQ Grill – Available for customer use. See the Dock Office for availability. Wireless Internet – Available throughout the Shipyard. See Dock Office for instructions to connect. Ice – Available in Belle’s Café, please ask the cashier for assistance. NSY Vehicles – Four vehicles are available for customer use. A valid driver’s license is required to borrow a vehicle and we ask that you fill the gas tank prior to returning to the Shipyard as a courtesy to the next guest. Please see the dock office for availability and additional information.

Fuel / Propane / Pump-Out / Day work
Fuel – Fuel can be arranged through NSY via Casey’s fuel truck or barge, depending on your slip assignment. Please see the Dock Office to schedule delivery. Propane Re-fill – Newport County Propane: 401-847-6878 or U-Haul: 401-847-3219. Pump-Out – Hail “Newport Pump Out” on VHF Channel 9, or call 401-474-0543. Day Workers – A day work bulletin board is located in the Ship Store, next to the Dock Office. One section is for day workers looking for work, while the other side is for boats looking for day workers.
Belle’s Café Cards / Parking Info
Belle’s Café Cards – Available to each Shipyard customer, most convenient for long term customers. Having a card is much like running a “tab”. Balances will be run on credit card weekly. Parking – Parking is limited at Newport Shipyard. Please see the dock office for information on obtaining a pass. Metered parking is available along Washington St.(credit cards accepted), and a public parking lot (fees apply) is located across the street at the Gateway Center.

Belle’s Café is located on the Northeast corner of the Shipyard next to the Ship Store. Belle’s offers a great Breakfast and Lunch Menu off the Grill and freshly prepared Soups, Salads, Sandwiches and Entrees to be enjoyed at our waterside dining area, in the Café, or on the go. Belle’s has a casual atmosphere and is the perfect place to get a great meal and catch up with old and new friends. Complimentary wireless Internet and computer stations are available inside Belle’s Café.
Special Events The Shipyard has hosted a variety of events from the Newport Bucket and Newport to Bermuda Race to small private events, boat christenings, and other parties. Please contact Veronica Brown, [email protected], to inquire about holding your event at Newport Shipyard.

Mail/Mailboxes/Fed-Ex/UPS
Mailboxes are created for our long-term customers and are located in the Yard Office. Fed-Ex and UPS packages are received and logged in the Ship Store. To claim your packages, see a store clerk who will ask you to sign for them. They can also help you with outgoing Fed-Ex, UPS or USPS mail. * When having packages shipped to Newport Shipyard, please be sure to include your boat name on the outside of the package.
Ship Store
Newly re-modeled, the NSY Ship Store, adjacent to the Dock Office, carries everything from Awl Grip and sand paper to
Newport Shipyard embroidered apparel. For your convenience, the Ship Store is open everyday from 8:00am-8:00pm. The Ships Store has a wide variety of products including items from the following marine vendors, and more!

2014 Event Schedule May 10, 2014 – Atlantic Cup
The fourth running of The Atlantic Cup will kick off May 10, 2014 from Charleston, South Carolina. The Atlantic Cup is the U.S.’ only dedicated Class 40 race and is designed to grow the audience for short-handed, offshore racing with hard fought
competition and exciting shore based events. Held annually in May, the race travels the eastern seaboard stopping in three iconic cities: Charleston, New York and Newport, RI. June 13-15 – NYYC Annual Regatta presented by Rolex
Racing starts on Friday, June 13th, with the Around-the-Island Race. Racing continues in a separately scored two-day series on Saturday and Sunday, June 14th-15th for IRC, One-Designs, 12 Metres, 6 Metres, S-Class and Classics.
Navigator Races using government marks will be held on Saturday, June 14th, and Sunday, June 15th, for PHRF and ORR classes. We also welcome Onion Patch competitors to the first of the three-regatta series.

June 20, 2014 Newport-Bermuda Race
The Newport Bermuda Race is a 635-mile ocean race, much of it out of sight of land, usually lasting three to six days. It crosses a stretch of the Atlantic Ocean known for challenging weather, especially in the Gulf Stream, where there are strong currents.
Every two years in mid-June, more than 150 boats start from the historic seaport of Newport, Rhode Island. The fleet has five divisions to allow seaworthy boats of many sizes and types to be raced fairly and aggressively for an array of trophies awarded in Bermuda at an elegant

ceremony at Government House, the residence of the governor of this tropical island. Newport Shipyard is proud to once again partner with Goslings Rum to sponsor the Crew Party on Wednesday, June 18, 2014. We look forward to seeing all Newport Bermuda Race sailors this spring! July 12-19 2014 Race Week at Newport Presented by Rolex
New York Yacht Club Race Week at Newport presented by Rolex will have two parts: Part I - Classics Weekend on Saturday & Sunday, July 12-13, with racing for Classics, 12 Metres and 6 Metres. August 22-24 – Newport Bucket Regatta
The Newport Bucket is an invitational regatta set in the Corinthian spirit. The regatta is open to yachts over 90’ (27M) L.O.A., unless invited under the Grandfather Clause (bribes accepted by the R.C.!). This is a fun regatta and safety is the primary concern of the Race
Committee. Therefore, we extend an invitation to the owners, captains, crews and guests who participate to make this a fun and safe event. The venue will be based at Newport Shipyard. For more information, visit: www.NewportBucket.com.
September 11-14 – Brokerage Show at the Newport Int’l Boat Show

October 4 – Sail for Hope
2014 marks the 14th running of Sail for Hope. In 2001, in the wake of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, Pentagon, and in the skies over Pennsylvania, a few local sailing enthusiasts scrambled to organize a regatta to honor and support those affected. The first Sail For Pride Regatta rallied over 180 boats and $110,000 designated for charities to support the
NYFD firefighters, police and the victims of the attacks and their families. The display of patriotism and generosity on and off the water made a lasting impression in the sailing community. After the inaugural year, the organizers retired the name Sail For Pride, but continued the event as Sail For Hope, reflecting the Rhode Island state motto and aimed at supporting local charities. Charities supported over the years have included RI Red Cross, Seamen's Church Institute, Newport Harbormaster's Emergency Equipment Fund, local public high school sailing teams, US Olympic Sailing Trials and many more, including a huge fund-raising year in 2005 after Hurricane Katrina's devastation of New Orleans and the Gulf Coast. To date, nearly $1,000,000 has been raised for various charities.
