3 IntroductionThe 32’’ Acer PAL LCD TV is designed to be a part of new Acer lines of LCD monitor that optimizes for both video (Analog PAL) and data (RGB) presentations.

4 Intent of This DocumentIntent of this document is to define the product specifications for the above-mentioned 32"Acer Europe TV（model）. For simplicity and unless otherwise specified, the word “product” thereafter refers to 32"Acer Europe TV（model） and its top assembly.

5 Technology The 32"Acer Europe TV is derived from a Acer requirement design. It utilizes a CMO 32” TFT color LCD, a “Pixelworks” PW218-10 scalar, an “Pixelworks” PW2200-10 and “Philips” SAA7119E video decoder, and other key components such as Philips FQ1216ME. The result is a LCDTV product that shall meet the following specifications.

Numerous components are used for making this product. It is the integrator’s responsibility to integrate these components into this complete product. It must meet the following specification. Quality assurance / testing shall be the responsibility of the Integrator.

In addition, all exterior plastic components, screen-printed components, labels, shipping cartons, protective foam, and printed materials of this product require approval by Acer prior to mass production. Bill of material, schematics, service manual and assembly drawings of this product shall also be provided in compliance with AOC Service Manual, and Vendor Requirements Guide, ××××.

Finally, mass production of this product shall not begin until TPV has issued a Mass Production Release, and any engineering changes to this product thereafter shall be approved in writing by TPV.

6.1 InterfaceAll signal connections to this product are via external connectors locating at the rear of the product. The specifications of these connectors are listed in the following table.

6.2 Front Panel AdjustmentThe following front panel adjustments are available for this product. For details on the locations of these adjustments, refer to Product ID Drawing in Figure 1.

POWER switch: This switch shall be visible and accessible on the down right side of front PC frame. Soft Power Switch (TURN ON SYSTEM) and one push of Soft-Power Switch shall turn on the system.Note: This switch is not considered the “Mains Disconnection Device” for agency purposes. The AC switch in back cover of product can also disconnect power. The power cord is the main disconnection device.

Power Indicator LED: This LED will illuminate “Green” light when the product is ON and “Red” light when the product in stand-by mode.

CH +/-: These two switches shall be visible and accessible on the bottom of front panel control keys. While TV is selected as input source, activation of these keys will cycle through all available TV channels. While OSD menu is up, activation of these keys will highlight each available adjustment. The activation time for this switch includes Press and Hold should be less than half second.

VOL +/-: These two switches shall be visible and accessible on the bottom of front panel control keys. Activation will increase /decrease loudness of the audio output. In addition, while OSD menu is up, activation of these keys will regulate a pre-selected adjustment. The activation time for this switch includes Press and Hold should be less than half second.

MENU: This switch shall be visible and accessible on the left side of VOL - switches. Once pressed, this key shall bring up the corresponding OSD menu(s) based on the selected input source.

INPUT: This switch shall be visible and accessible on the right side of VOL + switches. Once pressed, this key shall toggle in a closed loop of the input source selection from TV,SCART1, SCART2, SCART3, AV1,AV2,S-Video,Component,Cardreader,VGA,DVI.

Headphone: This connector is designed purpose to use headphone. Once the headphone connected, then the speakers will auto mute on audio output.






6.3 LCD PanelLCD panel of this product shall be provided by “CMO” with a model number of V320B1—L01. The following table defines this panel specification. Any changes in panel must be pre-approved by TPV in written.

6.5 Video “Analog Device” AD9883 shall provide analog to digital converter for this product. Video decoder shall be provided by “Micronas” with a model number of VPC3230, and the de-interlace of this product shall be provided by “Pixelworkss” with a Model Number of SPV301. ASIC FOS Performance (excluding Scaling Artifacts) will be judged according to:

Definition of “COMPATIBLE MODE”:ASIC correctly recognizes the proper resolution and applies the correct display scaling to the image. (I.e. a 1024 x 768 signal is properly recognized)

Definition of “PROPERLY SIZED / CENTERED”The Entire Image (use Display Mate “Side Tics” pattern) perfectly fits the screen. Even one pixel off in Horizontal or Vertical Direction, makes this area “FAIL”.

Definition of “PROPERLY PHASED”ASIC automatically computes the correct A/D response so that a Win98 “SHUTDOWN” or “ALL” Display Mate “MOIRE” Patterns are correctly displayed. Most critical on the panels “NATIVE” and “1:1” Resolutions; No ‘unstableness’ of the image shall be observed.

Definition of “HD Compatibility”All HD timings have to work through both PC DB-15 input and YPbPr.

6.7 AudioAudio processor of this product used a “Micronas” MSP3455G (for NICAM),used “JRC” NJW1147M BBE sound effect processor and “MICROSEMI” LX1722CDB audio processor amplifier. In addition, a pair of speakers shall be integrated within this product. The audio signals of this product shall comply with the specification listed in the following table.

6.9 Firmware & OSD The product firmware of 32’’ Acer shall have a firmware version of 1.1. Any changes/revisions afterward shall also be pre-approved by AOC in written. For 32’’ Acer, its firmware shall have MTS/NICAM/FM stereo implementation. The production firmware version is TT0-V1.1 -CIFA.

All audio/video and other output adjustments shall be performed by using an On Screen Display (OSD) via a Remote Control Unit (RCU) in conjunction with the front panel adjustments. The following tables list the OSD functions supported by 32’’ Acer.

6.14 PackagingThe shipping packaging of this product shall be able to protect the product against physical, mechanical, and electrical damage due to shock, drop and vibration encountered during handling, storage and transit. 6.15 Manuals and DocumentationProduction samples of the User’s Guide, Quick Setup Guide, Rear Label and other inserted materials shall be provided to Acer for approval prior to mass production. Refer to AOC Service Manual, and Vendor Requirements Guide, TELEFUNKEN LB69010 for more details. For this product, User’s Guide and Quick Setup Guide shall be written in the following languages: English, French,German,Italian,Spanish,Portuguese. It shall also be available in Adobe PDF file format. A master copy of this PDF file shall be provided to Acer for its electronic documentation.

6.16 Regulatory/Safety This product shall be filed/approved/certified under Model Number CE,CB & EMC for Europe from the following regulatory and safety agencies: UL, cUL, PSB, C-TICK. Records of these certificates shall be provided and approved by AOC prior to mass production.

6.18 Code AssignmentCode assignments for this product are defined as follows.

1. Model Number: All safety and compliance are under this number. All safety certificates should list the Model Number (not as "N1750w") but as "VS10621-1P". (-X = Revision #, Y = Region of Sale). Y = W (World Wide Model), M (N. America), P (Taiwan), E (Europe), G (China, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong), etc. This model number must also appear on the rear label (Use existing VS Monitor as template).

2. EDID Product ID:Within the monitor's EDID Data Structure, these two bytes (Hexadecimal) are assigned as the EDID "Product ID". This is unique to the N1750w only. The field is the SAME for all variations of N1750w.

3. Acer Company ID (EDID) These are the data bytes (Hexadecimal) that are contained in the EDID for the AOC Corporation for the EDID "Manufacture ID". This is common to ALL AOC Display Products and all versions of products.

4. SERIAL NUMBER FORMAT = PMEyywwnnnnnThe serial number must appear on the monitor's "Rear Label" and on the external carton box sticker.

yy = Year of Manufacture. Two Digit Integers. (i.e. 2003 = "03")ww = Week of Manufacture, two digit integer from 01 - 52. (Jan 1 = "01", Dec 31 = "52").nnnnn = Sequence #. 5 Digits Sequence # of Production. Integer values only. This value must also appear in the EDID under the "Serial Number" Field. The "PME" is uniquely assigned to the N1750W only.

5. UPC BARCODE FORMAT:The barcode format of UPC is using code 93 format with barcode version A. The UPC label will be shown in figure 4 for reference of the specification.

6. SERIAL NUMBER BARCODE FORMAT:The barcode format of Serial number is using code 128 format. The S/N label will be shown in figure 4 for reference of the specification.






7 Miscellaneous

7.1 General Test EquipmentThe above specifications with respect to the performance of this product shall be demonstrated / validated by the following test equipment under listed condition. The front video and audio performance shall be exam and approved by AOC before MPR. Once approved, its firmware becomes TELEFUNKEN（LB69010） MP Release candidate and shall have a version 1.0 or later.
