Explosive Handlers & Breaching Course (6 Days)Course content includes:Module One - Explosive Handlers• History and theory of explosives and explosions• Explosive safety• Recognition of low and high explosive compounds• Preparation and firing of charges using electric, non-electric, and shock tube initiated blasting caps• Response to misfires and low order charges

Module Two - Explosive Breaching• History and theory of explosive breaching• Critical safety issues: calculating net explosive weight, safe stacking distance, and internal over pressure• Breaching report documentation• Breaching wood and metal doors (external and internal)• Breaching windows• Defeating barricaded doors• Tactical charge placement drills• Tactical misfire drills• Simultaneous breach points• Developing standard operating procedures• Target analysis• Introduction to wall breaching• Scenario based training

Hostage rescue / High risk Warrant Course - teams Only (4 Days) Course content includes: • Tactical shooting (handgun / carbine)• Close quarter battle (live fire)• Methods of entry (breaching techniques)• Hallway clearance drills• Negotiating stairwells• Deployment of distraction devices• Use of shields• Foot / vehicle approaches• Radio commands• Operation orders• Deliberate and emergency assaults• Vehicle assaults

Advanced Explosive Breaching Course (3 - 4 Days, depending on type of facility)Course content includes:• Review theory of explosive breaching• Breaching report documentation using the Excel spread sheet• Review of calculating net explosive weight, safe stacking distance, and internal overpressure• Breaching internal and external doors and windows• Cover port charges• Defeating barricaded doors• Simultaneous breach points• Target analysis• Wall and roof breaching

Explosive Breaching Course - EOD technicians (4 Days)Course content includes:• History and theory of explosive breaching• Critical safety issues: calculating net explosive weight, safe stacking distance, and internal over pressure• Breaching report documentation• Breaching wood and metal doors (external and internal)• Breaching windows• Defeating barricaded doors• Tactical charge placement drills• Tactical misfire drills• Simultaneous breach points• Developing standard operating procedures• Target analysis• Introduction to wall breaching• Scenario based training

Mechanical, thermal and Ballistic Breaching Course (3 Days)Course content includes:• History and theory of non-explosive methods of entry• Breaching doors, windows, and walls• Defeating barricaded doors• Negotiating / defeating fences• Ballistic shotgun breaching• Thermal breaching (BROCO torch)• Quickie saw breaching• Scenario based training• NOTE: All drills will include tactical approaches, negotiating obstacles, and actions at the breach point

Mechanical & Ballistic Breaching Instructor Course (4 Days)Course content includes:• History and theory and non-explosives methods of entry• Equipment selection• Carriage of tools and shotgun• Breaching inward opening doors• Breaching outward opening doors• Ballistic breaching techniques• Planning considerations• Scenario based training• Lesson plan development• Presentation of lesson plans
