Taggart Hansen is Chief Counsel for Labor & Employment for CH2M HILL, a Fortune 500 company and a global leader in consulting, design, design-build, operations, and program management. The CH2M HILL enterprise, which dates back to 1946 and is headquartered in Englewood, CO, is built on honesty, ethics, and morals and has a global presence of 28,000 employees in regional offices worldwide. Hansen joined CH2M HILL in September 2008 as Senior Corporate Counsel, and was appointed to his current position in January 2011. Before joining CH2M HILL, Hansen was an attorney at the international law firm of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, LLP,

with a primary focus on handling employment and complex civil litigation matters for companies from a cross section of industries. While an attorney at Gibson Dunn, Hansen co-founded the Colorado chapter of the Do the Write Thing Challenge Program, a middle school youth violence prevention writing program that is part of the National Campaign to Stop Violence. Hansen also previously served on the Board of the Rocky Mountain Children’s Law Center, an organization dedicated to changing the lives of abused and neglected children through compassionate legal advocacy, education and public policy reform. Hansen has a long history with Colorado and the City of Denver. A product of the Denver Public School System, he attended DPS schools from first grade through his graduation from Denver’s East High School in 1989. Upon attaining his double major in Political Science and Black World Studies from Miami University of Ohio, and his JD from the Yale Law School, he returned to Colorado to start and raise his family. He and his wife, Stefanie, live in Denver with their two children.
