Gala Coral had approximately 100 suppliers in total, with only 18 of those accounting for 80% of the groups spend. Gala Coral was therefore looking to reduce the number of suppliers and consolidate all the commodities under a single provider with a view to reducing total expenditure including hidden costs.

Tail Management Solution

Phase 1 of our Tail Management solution has seen our team take over the products and services from 4 main suppliers (Bunzl, Arken, SuppliersTeam and MDA), 30 smaller suppliers and a range of ad-hoc suppliers.We now provide Gala Coral with 1120 lines covering a wide range of products,

from wheelchairs and custom made whiteboards, to freezer floor panels and bespoke furry dice.

Reduced total cost of procurement

The switch to our Tail Management solution has reduced Gala Coral’s total cost of procurement by £60,000 in the first 3 months alone. Gala Coral now have clear visibility and control of expenditure, with management reports available on demand.

Fred Perry consolidated a number of our business supplies with OfficeTeam and now purchase our business print, catering and general stationary through OfficeTeam. OfficeTeam also helped us source office furniture and organised delivery of a large number of items for our recent office relocation.
