The basic and fundamental doctrine of this organization shall be theBible standard for full salvation, which is repentance, baptism in water
by immersion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission ofsins, and the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the initial sign of speaking
with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. We shall endeavor to keep the unity of the Spirit until we all come into
the unity of the faith, at the same time admonishing all brethren that theyshall not contend for their different views to the disunity of the body.

Global Impact!
Webster’s dictionary defines the wordimpact as: a) violent shock, b) forceagainst something else. As the UnitedPentecostal Church launches into
Global Impact in 2008, with a goal of doublingevery congregation, doubling the number ofpreachers and churches, doubling the numberof home and foreign missionaries, and everymeasurable goal that we have, we recognizethat this will be a violent shock to the world! We now have almost 4500 local churches and500 daughter works in North America, alongwith 23,000 congregations in other countries. Can you imagine what this will mean to a sin-filled world? This impact will truly be a forceagainst the powers of darkness!
A very important part of Global Impact willbe a program called MY FAMILY. The pur-pose of this endeavor is to re-teach the cardi-nal truths of Apostolic doctrine to every child, teenager, and adult. The plan is quite simple –every family in the United Pentecostal Churchwould begin the New Year by teaching a BibleStudy in their own home, to their own family. This could be done over several weeks, re-establishing the truths of One God, JesusName baptism, Holy Ghost infilling, holinessand separation from the world, divine healing, miracles, tabernacle plan, life of Jesus, etc.Too many Pentecostals are more biblicallyilliterate than they need to be, and this can beovercome by these Bible Studies. This canalso help to establish some family altars anddevotion time that has disappeared from somany Pentecostal homes. Just think if everyMonday night in every Tennessee DistrictPentecostal home across the state, there wasa family Bible Study being conducted. Whenwe hide the Word of God in our hearts, ourchurches will come alive with spiritual author-ity and power!
Doubling sounds like a noble, but impossi-ble goal. But remember, this is over a periodof 10 years. That means that we only need togrow 7.2% each year. Sunday School teacher, can you grow that class just 7.2% this comingyear? Youth leader, is it possible for youryouth group to go from 20 to 22 in attendancein 2008? Can your church attendance growfrom 50 to 54 this coming year? As your atten-dance increases, so will your offerings, mis-sions giving, and all measurable areas ofgrowth. Focus on visitors (keep them com-ing), the number baptized, and the numberreceiving the Holy Ghost, and it will happen.
Focus is powerful. A laser is simply adevice for amplifying and concentrating lightwaves. In other words – focused light. As weall push towards this one purposeful goal, thepower of unity will propel us into the great vic-tory that we all want to have for our church, and our movement.
A key component of Global Impact will bethe month of January. The dates of January 6to February 4 will be designated as 30 Days ofPrayer and Fasting. It will begin with our pas-tors and ministers, along with their spouses, meeting at 10:00 A.M. on January 5 at CampLake Benson for a special time of prayer. Eachchurch is encouraged to have organizedprayer and fasting during that 30 day period.
Let there be a great harmonization of ourministry and churches in Tennessee as weapproach 2008, and allow there to be a divinesynchronization of our strengths, attitudes, and abilities to produce the “sound” of revival! This force can challenge and defeat the forcesof sin and the power of the enemy.
From Our Houses To Yours
Brother and Sister Brown, together withBrother and Sister Jaco and fellow staff members, wish you and your family a wonderfuland blessed Christmas Season. May 2008 be ajoyous and fulfilling year as you enjoy God’sabundant blessings.

No longer can we complacently sit insidethe four walls of our churches waitingfor revival to come to us. We must takethe gospel to the lost! God has commis-
sioned us to go into the highways and bywaysand compel them to come in. No doubt wehave the message; but we have been lackingin our methods. We can no longer retreat tothe corner of intimidation in a mind set of tra-ditionalism. Statistically the majority ofteenagers don’t attend church because theysay it is boring. We must reach this genera-tion by whatever means necessary. God haspromised that in the last days, He would pourout His Spirit on all flesh.
He is going to have a church, a propheticremnant, a gleaning of the fields that arewhite and ready to harvest. God has said in
His Word, that the laborers are few; we havedecided that we are going to be a part of therace and the countdown to eternity. Let‘stake it all back. Our kids, our teens, ourpeace, our joy, our self esteem, the time we’vewasted, and most of all, our communities. They may never darken the doorway of ourchurches, but more than likely they willattend a community event hosted by yourchurch in a non traditional setting.
That is exactly what happened inTullahoma, Tennessee. A group of apostolic’sjoined together to reach a lost and dyingworld. It was not in a church, or a chapel; itwasn’t even inside. The event was outside, ina conspicuous location, on the main street oftown, in a department store parking lot. Weknew if we could get them there, something

supernatural would happen. We advertised in the local newspaper that
we were going to have a Back-to-School Bash.We were allowed to put up posters in the localhigh school, and place flyers in local busi-nesses all over town. We also blitzed severalareas in town and handed out over 3,000 invi-tations the size of business cards. Togetherwith thirty-eight local businesses donatingvarious items to help support the event,Westside UPC, and a host of faithful volun-teers were enabled by God to accomplish thismomentous event. And a few of our nearbychurches came out to help and offered theirsupport by attending the event.
On September 22, 2007, at 7 p.m., theBack-to-School Bash began. We had two pre-service events; one the night before and onethe day of the event. We experienced amighty move of God that helped prepare usfor the BTSB. It was difficult to predict howmany would come to the event, but when itwas all over our estimation of attendees wasnear 1,000. We gave away many prizes, including a laptop computer and an MP3 play-er. A live worship band and the Freak Factorevent were used to draw people in.
Just before Brother Donald Lance minis-tered the Word, an overpowering, sweet pres-ence of the Lord swept over crowd that hadgathered at the front. Throughout the message, and at the altar call; people began to raisetheir hands and respond to the presence ofGod. Tears were flowing and people wantedto know more about what they were feeling.
The end result?Nineteen were baptized in the wonderful
name of Jesus! The Sunday after, two morewere baptized who had attended the BTSB.Ultimately, we came away with hundreds ofnames and information to follow up with thepeople who attended the BTSB. Thirty-eightbusinesses now know there is a church thatcares about its community, as well as thou-sands of people who were exposed toWestside UPC through this event. We took itto the streets. We made ourselves known. We’re not stopping now.
We will have information to help assist youwith your event, such as literature and aninformative DVD. We will be willing to helpyou make your vision for revival a reality. Youmay contact us at 931-224-8000.

In the Spring of 2005 The Pentecostals ofColumbia felt led of God to start a new out-reach in the neighborhoods around ourchurch. God had given us a prophecy that
His Spirit would go before us into these neigh-borhoods and that we would reap the harvest. We started a ministry called “Friend’s Day”and a bus ministry.
We get permission from the management ofa project neighborhood, and go in on aSaturday. We set-up games, have helium bal-loons, clowns, food, prizes, inflatables the kidsjump on, which is all free. Then we fellowshipand make friends of the kids and parents thatcome to it, we invite them to church through
our bus ministry. We have also held streetservices in two of these neighborhoods wherewe had over a hundred people in attendance inthe first service and over two hundred in ourlast street service.
On our last “Friend’s Day”, on October 6we were blessed to have with us Rev. Michaeland Sister Vicki Oliver of Fishers, Indiana forour Annual Children’s Revival. After our funand games we had a street service where wesang, worshiped, and had a short encouragingsermon and even a skit on salvation.
We had 21 children receive the Holy Ghostand nine were baptized in Jesus’ Name in therevival that weekend. God is blessing us.

November 2007 Pentecostal Voice of Tennessee 7
Have you ever prayed, “Lord let me hear Yourvoice.” There are many ways that we canhear His voice. Some like Samuel, havebeen fortunate enough to have heard an
audible voice. For most of us however, we hearHis voice by faith, through His Word, prayer, thecounsel of others, and even in our own thoughts. His voice comes to us in solitude in that stillsmall voice. It can be as faint as a whisper, andquiet as a breeze. It is through an intimate rela-tionship with Him that we grow sensitive to Hisvoice. We seek His voice for direction, guidance, encouragement, sweet fellowship, calling, andintercession. As we spend time with Him, Hisvoice becomes familiar to us. When my husbandcalls me on the telephone, I don’t have to askhim who it is, because his voice has becomevery familiar to me over the years.
One of the ways I believe the Lord speaks tous is in our dreams. I know sometimes we havedreams that seem so silly that we can’t imaginethe Lord speaking through that avenue.Sometimes the business of life can drown outthe Lord’s voice in our lives. It seems as thoughwe are rushing along life’s highway with theabundance of noise drowning out the voice ofour redeemer.
Why wouldn’t He choose to speak to us in ourdreams, when we will receive what he speaks toour hearts, without argument. In Genesis 46:2God spoke to Jacob in a vision of the night. He infact did speak to Joseph in dreams. He spoke toDaniel in dreams. He even spoke toNebuchadnezzar, a pagan king in a dream. Hespoke prophetically, and symbolically in thedreams of the butler and the baker in Genesis40. He spoke symbolically to the Pharaoh ofJoseph’s day. Before Jesus’ birth, Joseph waswarned in a dream not to be afraid to take Maryto be his wife. He was later warned in a dream totake the young child, Jesus and his mother toEgypt. Pilate’s wife had a troubling dream thatwarned her not to deal with this man – Jesus.Paul was given dreams to guide him where totake his next missionary journey.
One common thread runs through many ofthese dreams. Many of these dreams are sym-bolic in nature, some are very literal and holdwarnings. Have you ever wondered why Josephdreamed of stars, and the wheat bowing down to
him? Why didn’t the Lord just speak plainly tohim that his father and his brothers would someday bow down to him? Have you ever marveledabout the animals that Daniel dreamed about?
We know that they are symbolic for king-doms. Why didn’t the Lord just speak plainly inthose dreams? Even Nebuchadnezzar’s dreamof the kingdoms of the earth, was symbolic.Maybe it is so that we will diligently try to hearHis voice. Hebrews 11:6 says: “He is a rewarderof them that diligently seek him.”
In Job 33:15-17 it says: “In a dream, in a visionof the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men,in slumberings upon the bed; Then he openeththe ears of men, and sealeth their instruction,That he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man.” I want my ears to beopen and my instructions sealed don’t you?Jesus spoke in parables as he taught the people. He taught those earthly stories with heavenlymeanings most of the time. Why should we dis-count our dreams, which are sometimes parabol-ic as well?
The Lord can reveal things to us in ourdreams, if we will be attentive to His voice. Ihave had dreams in which the Lord warned meof something. There can be dreams that confirma calling in your life. You may have a dream thatconfirms something that you may have beenquestioning in prayer. Sometimes the Lord mayreveal our own shortcomings in our dreams, sothat we can see ourselves how he sees us. Healso reveals mysteries, and exposes the enemy’splan in our life.
I have found that if the Lord is trying to getsomething through to me, it won’t be just once, but at least two or three times, I will dreamsomething very similar. Does not the Word sayin II Corinthians 13:1 “…In the mouth of two orthree witnesses shall every word be estab-lished.”? Why do we think that are dreams arejust crazy, when sometimes the Lord is speakingto us in parables and even plainly in our dreams? We may even fight spiritual warfare in ourdreams. Sometimes your dreams are for yourears only. Keeping a dream journal can be help-ful to reveal what the Lord is speaking to you.Pray for the interpretation, as Daniel prayed.Take heed to your dreams, don’t discount them, because in them may just be the voice of the Lord!
