Forestry ProductionTimberland accounted for 85.5 percent of the surface land of Tallapoosa County. Total forestry production contributed 42.0 percent of the county’s total agricultural and forestry production.

Overall Contributions to Tallapoosa CountyTallapoosa County’s agricultural, forestry, and related industries generated 2,403 full- and part-time jobs, representing 13.5 percent of the county’s total workforce (17,801 jobs).

The total impact of agriculture, forestry, and related industries was $142.5 million, which was 7.1 percent of the county’s total economic activity ($2.0 billion). The indirect business taxes impact was $8.9 million, 13.7 percent of the county’s total indirect business taxes.
