PRODUCTS MEETING THE SAME STANDARDS OF QUALITY MAY BE SUBMITTED TO THE ARCHITECT FOR APPROVAL. NO
SUBSTITUTIONS ARE ALLOWED WITHOUT PRIOR WRITTEN APPROVAL OF THE ARCHITECT.
F. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROTECT ALL EXISTING WALLS, DOORS, FRAMES, EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS THAT ARE SHOWN TO
REMAIN. FINISHED WORK SHALL BE COMPLETE AND FUNCTIONAL, CONSISTENT WITH THE DESIGN INTENT AS EXPRESSED.
ANY QUESTIONS CONCERNING COMPLETENESS OF WORK SHALL BE DIRECTED TO THE ARCHITECT.
G. CONTRACTOR IS TO VERIFY RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN EXISTING CONDITIONS AND NEW CONSTRUCTION AS SHOWN. REPORT
ANY DISCREPANCIES TO ARCHITECT PRIOR TO EXECUTION OF ANY CONSTRUCTION AFFECTING THESE AREAS. NO CHANGES
SHALL BE MADE WITHOUT NOTIFYING THE ARCHITECT IN ADVANCE. ANY WORK UNDERTAKEN PRIOR TO NOTIFICATION WILL
BE AT THE CONTRACTOR'S SOLE EXPENSE AND RESPONSIBILITY.
H. WORK OF TRADES AND VENDORS SHALL BE COORDINATED BY THE CONTRACTOR. VENDORS AND TRADES SPECIALIZING IN
MANUFACTURING AND INSTALLING PRODUCTS SPECIFIED WITH MINIMUM 2 YEARS DOCUMENTED EXPERIENCE SHALL BE
USED.
I. CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL PERMITS, APPLICATION FEES, AND INSPECTION FEES REQUIRED BY LOCAL
GOVERNING AUTHORITIES.
J. CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LIFE SAFETY ITEMS REQUIRED TO MEET APPLICABLE CODES AND TEXAS
ACCESSIBILITY STANDARDS.
K. CONTRACTOR SHALL ABIDE BY BUILDING RULES AND REGULATIONS AND COORDINATE USE OF PARKING AREAS WITH
BUILDING OWNER. CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE AFTER HOURS BUILDING ACCESS WITH BUILDING OWNER.
L. CONSTRUCTION AREAS SHALL BE CLEANED DAILY OF TRASH AND DEBRIS. STAIRWAYS, SIDEWALKS, AND PARKING AREAS
SHALL BE KEPT FREE OF EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS AT ALL TIMES. COUNTY OWNED TRASH RECEPTACLES ARE NOT TO BE
USED FOR DISPOSAL OF PROJECT SPOILS.
M. FIRE EXTINGUISHERS ARE TO BE LOCATED/INSTALLED PER GOVERNING JURISDICTION. CONTRACTOR IS TO CONFIRM
LOCATIONS OF F.E.C.'S ON PLAN WITH CITY PRIOR TO INSTALLATION AT SITE.
N. IF GOVERNING JURISDICTION RELOCATES ELEMENTS FROM ARCHITECTURAL SPECIFICATION, INFORM ARCHITECT AND
OWNER PRIOR TO INSTALLATION. FIELD REVISED INFORMATION MUST BE INCLUDED IN 'AS BUILT' DOCUMENTATION
PROVIDED TO ARCHITECT.
O. THE TERM 'PROVIDE' IN THE CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTATION MEANS TO FURNISH, TRANSPORT, INSTALL, CONNECT,

R. CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE ALL SIDEWALK AND STREET CLOSURES WITH BUILDING OWNER AND LOCAL
MUNICIPALITY.
S. CONTRACTOR SHALL CONTACT ARCHITECT REGARDING ANY UNEXPECTED OR UNDISCOVERED CONDITIONS DURING WORK.
T. WORK INDICATED ON A SHEET OF A SPECIFIC DISCIPLINE IS NOT A DETERMINATION OF SEPARATE WORK BY THE
CONTRACTOR AND SUBCONTRACTORS. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR SEPARATION OF SUBCONTRACTORS
WORK.
U. ALL DIMENSIONS SHALL BE VERIFIED BY THE CONTRACTOR AND ANY DISCREPANCIES SHALL BE PROMPTLY REPORTED TO

ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATIONS: 1. PERFORM ALL WORK IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALL APPLICABLE NATIONAL AND LOCAL CODES
AND CODE AUTHORITIES.
2. SUBMIT SHOP DRAWINGS FOR ALL MATERIAL FURNISHED UNDER THIS DIVISION OF WORK.
3. SECURE AND PAY FOR ALL NECESSARY PERMITS, LICENSES AND INSPECTIONS REQUIREDBY LAW FOR THE COMPLETION OF THE WORK. SECURE AND PAY FOR ALL CERTIFICATES OFAPPROVAL THAT ARE REQUIRED AND DELIVER THEM TO THE ARCHITECT BEFORE FINALACCEPTANCE OF THE WORK.
4. EXAMINE THE PROJECT SITE AND MAKE ALLOWANCES IN THE BID TO ACCOMMODATEEXISTING CONDITIONS.
5. ALL MATERIAL SHALL BE NEW, UL LISTED, AND FREE FROM DEFECTS, UNLESS EXISTINGMATERIAL IS SPECIFICALLY SHOWN TO BE REUSED. INSTALL ALL MATERIAL INACCORDANCE WITH GOOD WORKMANSHIP STANDARDS.
6. SUBSTITUTIONS OF SPECIFIED MATERIAL SHALL BE APPROVED IN WRITING BY THEARCHITECT PRIOR TO BIDDING.
7. PROVIDE FACTORY FINISH ON ALL MATERIAL FURNISHED TO THE JOBSITE AND TOUCH UPFINISHES WHICH HAVE BEEN DAMAGED.
8. PROVIDE A COPY OF AS-BUILT PLANS TO THE OWNER UPON COMPLETION OF PROJECT.
9. MAINTAIN OPERATIONS OF ALL BUILDING SYSTEMS DURING CONSTRUCTION. COORDINATEALL SHUTDOWNS OR SYSTEM DISRUPTIONS WITH OWNER SEVEN DAYS IN ADVANCE.
10. USE EMT CONDUIT WITH COMPRESSION TYPE FITTINGS AND INSULATED BUSHINGS, 3/4 INCHMINIMUM, FOR EXPOSED WORK ABOVE SWITCH HEIGHT.
11. USE RIGID GALVANIZED STEEL CONDUIT FOR EXPOSED WORK BELOW SWITCH HEIGHT.
12. USE COPPER CONDUCTORS, TYPE THHN INSULATION, OR APPROVED EQUAL. USE SOLIDCONDUCTORS FOR #10 AWG AND SMALLER AND STRANDED CONDUCTORS FOR #8 AWG ANDLARGER. ALUMINUM CONDUCTORS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE.
13. PROVIDE CONNECTIONS TO ALL EQUIPMENT FURNISHED UNDER THIS CONTRACT AND BYOTHER DIVISIONS OF THE WORK. MAKE ALL CONNECTIONS AS RECOMMENDED BY THEMANUFACTURER AND AS REQUIRED BY APPLICABLE CODES.
14. MAKE SPLICES AND PROVIDE WORK AS REQUIRED TO MAINTAIN CIRCUIT CONTINUITY TOEXISTING DEVICES AND EQUIPMENT TO REMAIN IN SERVICE.
15. REMOVE ALL EXISTING CONDUCTORS, CABLES AND EXPOSED CONDUIT RENDERED UNUSEDBY THE SCOPE OF THIS PROJECT BACK TO THE SOURCE OF SUPPLY.
16. GROUND ALL WORK IN ACCORDANCE WITH NEC ARTICLE 250.
