Atlanta Rhythm SectionIn 1970, a new recording studio opened

near Atlanta, Georgia, and members oftwo groups came together to become thestudio’s house band. After playing forother artists, the group decided to formtheir own band “Atlanta Rhythm Section.”

The members of ARS were exceptionalmusicians. They performed original materi-al (initially entirely instrumental) and soonlanded a record deal. ARS was labeled asSouthern Rock and received a good amountof radio airtime in the South.

However, their songwriting and record-ing style was really more like the Eagles orFleetwood Mac, and they were influencedby the British Invasion groups. ARS final-ly received national recognition with theTop Ten hit “So Into You.” They even per-formed at the White House during JimmyCarter’s presidency.

ARS continues to tour taking audiencesback to the ’70s and ’80s with great“Classic/Southern Rock.”

Little River BandLittle River Band burst on the scene in

1976. Within eight months, they had threetop 20 singles and two top 10 albums onthe Australian charts.

By 1982, they became the only act tohave a top 10 single on the U.S. charts forsix consecutive years. By 1985, LRB had 16hit singles (eight top 10). Two of theirsongs, “Reminiscing” and “Lady,” havebeen played on the radio more than 8 mil-lion times! It didn’t take long before LRBheadlined major shows in the U.S.Furthermore, they toured internationallywith the Doobie Brothers, Supertramp,America, and the Eagles.

Learning from the best, LRB hasbecome one of the preeminent live bandsin the world. They continually look forways to bring something new to their per-formances. 2010 marks the 40th anniver-sary for LRB, which proves they havewithstood the test of time.

PlayerPlayer features original lead singer.

Peter Beckett and Ronn Moss, also knownas Ridge Forrester of “The Bold and The

Beautiful” Peter Beckett was born in Liverpool,

England and was greatly influenced bythe Beatles. At age 16, he formed his firstband. While he was in England, he joinedseveral other bands, but he later moved toL.A.

He joined up with J.C. Crowley, RonnMoss, and John Friesen to become Player. They had a No. 1 hit with “Baby ComeBack,” which is still one of the greatestclassics from the ’70s.

After four successful albums, the bandsplit up and Peter began writing songs forother recording artists, such as OliviaNewton-John, The Temptations, KennyRogers, to name a few. He also began writ-ing songs for movies and TV.

In 1991, Peter released his first solo CD.Later he joined with Little River Band andtoured with them for eight years. In 1996,he and Ronn Moss again joined forces andrecorded Player’s fifth album.

Since then, Peter has produced, written, and played on two solo CDs for RonnMoss. Ronn is best known for his role asRidge Forrester on the soap opera, “TheBold and the Beautiful.”

He is still playing Ridge in addition tostarring in the Italian version of “Dancingwith the Stars,” which is very popular in

Europe. Peter and Ronn are again touring as

Player; they perform at festivals and ven-ues throughout the U.S.

Peter is working on his second solo CDand continues to write for movies, televi-sion, and other recording artists.

Night RangerIt all began in the San Francisco area in

the early ’80s. Early on Night Rangerpacked clubs and theaters. It didn’t takelong before the band was appearing withmajor artists, and in very little time, thegroup was headlining.

Night Ranger developed a uniquesound using the drive of heavy metal, atwin lead guitar team, and mellow harmo-ny on power ballads. Night Ranger had astring of best-selling albums that sold morethan 16 million copies worldwide.

The band eventually broke up butreunited in 1996. Almost every summersince, the band has toured the countrysharing the stage with acts such as REOSpeedwagon, Styx, Journey, Kansas, andmany more. In 2007, Night Rangerreleased “Hole in the Sun,” proving theycan still “Rock in America”!

The Guess WhoFormerly known as Chad Allan and the

Expressions, the Guess Who band namewas created when their record companyreleased an album and listed them on thejacket as “Guess Who” hoping peoplewould think they were one of the famousBritish Invasion bands recording under adifferent name.

Although the Guess Who had only sev-eral hits in the U.S., they were superstarsin their native country, Canada. Finally in1969, the band reached the U.S. Top Ten

with the hit “These Eyes” followed by“American Woman.” Their last Top Tenhit was “Clap for the Wolfman,” featuringdialogue by the famous deejay WolfmanJack.

Justin MooreJustin Moore is an up and coming

country singer/songwriter. He hasreleased one album self-titled JustinMoore, which produced four Top 40 sin-gles including the No. 1 “Small TownUSA” and the Top Ten single“Backwoods.”

Justin’s first radio single, “Back ThatThing Up,” reached No. 38 on the U.S.Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. Hisdebut album was part of a special promo-tion called “So You Want to Be a RecordLabel Executive.”

This promotion placed his music onsocial networking sites such as MySpaceand iLike, where fans were allowed to cre-ate play lists comprising 10 of his songs;the top 10 songs picked by the fans werethen included on the final album.

The CD Justin Moore debuted at No.three on the Top Country Albums charts.Justin promoted the single and album ona Small Town USA tour, which began inhis hometown of Poyen, Arkansas, andincluded stops in several small towns.

In October 2009, “Small Town USA”became his first No. 1 hit. “Backwoods”

was released as the album’s third single, and the song was his second Top Ten hitwith a peak at No. 6 in April 2010. Justin’smusic offers a mix of southern, countrycharm and twang.

Phil VassarPhil Vassar has developed into a lead-

ing singer/song writer and has becomeone of the country’s leading pianists. Hehas 13 Top 20 singles, which include threeNo. 1 hits, and three Top Fives; Phil wasnamed ASCAP’s songwriter/artist of theyear multiple times.

When Phil was young and just startinghis music career, his songs reflected puremusical escapism as seen in “Love Is ABeautiful Thing” and “Six-Pack Summer.”

However, now that he is a single fatherof two girls, his level of concern has ele-

vated about most everything. Schoolbombings, like the Virginia Tech tragedy, make him aware of how fragile life is andhow important family is. He writes mostof his songs while he’s on the road, whichallows him to come home and just spendtime with his girls.

Phil grew up poor in a hard-working,blue-collar Virginia town and knows thestruggles and has developed the workethics that come with that type of life.

Although he currently doesn’t have toworry about choosing between buyingmilk or gas, he can relate to people in thesituation. That lead to his fourth albumand current hit “Prayer of a CommonMan.” Phil and his music have evolvedover the years, and there’s no doubt – thebest is yet to come!

As theblend thickens, a blade softlyscrapes the sides of the pot, folding the ice cream intoitself. The gentle foldingprocess prevents air from

whipping into the ice creamand accounts for the extreme-ly dense and creamy consis-tency. Where a typical pint ofice cream can weigh as littleas 8 ounces, a Graeter’s pintweighs nearly a full pound!Graeter’s ice cream is so richand creamy that every pinthas to be packed by hand!!
