Shuffle all the cards carefully and place them on the table as

a face-down deck. Beginning with the youngest player, each

player draws 5 cards from the top of the face-down deck. Then

take 3 cards from the top of the deck and place them face-up in

the middle of the table, creating three different decks. You will

add cards to these decks during the game in accordance with

the rules described in the field below.

The rules presented below apply to the game for 3 or more

players. You will find the rules for a two-player game at the end

of this rulebook.

The game consist of a series of rounds in which players take

turns carrying out two phases in a certain order. Beginning with

the active player, each player plays his or her round. After the

round of the active player, the person to the left (clockwise)

of the active player becomes the new active player.

Each round consists of 2 phases:

The phase of the active player:

the active player plays a dish card and draws new cards from

appropriate decks.

The phase of the remaining players:

(it begins at the same time as the phase of the active player)

each of the remaining players has the opportunity to prepare

the dish played by the active player.

Creating the decks: each time when a player plays the

ingredient cards needed to prepare a dish, or when

a dish card that has been played is not prepared, put

these cards on the respective face-up decks. Each new

ingredient (indicated in the top left corner of the card)

creates a separate deck. If possible, place the

ingredient cards on the top of the already existing

decks. If an ingredient indicated in the top left corner

of the card is not yet on the table, place this card next

to the existing decks and create a new deck. If your

card has a Joker instead of a specific ingredient,

treat it as any ingredient.

The phase of the active player:

The active player chooses one dish card from his or her hand

and places it face-up on the table.

Then he or she draws the number of cards indicated by the

symbols on the card played (at the bottom of the card). Cards

can come from the top of the face-down deck and/or from the

top of the face-up decks.

Each white card symbol - draw 1 card from the face-down

deck.

Each card outline - take 1 , 2 , or 3 cards from

any of the face-up decks.

If there are no cards in the face-up decks, draw the remaining

cards from the face-down deck. There is no hand size limit.

The phase of the remaining players:

As soon as the active player plays his or her card, the remaining

players have the opportunity to prepare the dish.

All players (with exception of the active player) check whether

they have the ingredients needed to prepare the dish depicted

on the dish card played by the active player. The player who has

all the ingredients required to prepare the dish plays the

ingredients and collects the dish card. He or she adds the

collected dish card to his or her score pile (and covers the

previously collected card, if there were any in the score pile).

Important! Reaction time matters. Only the player who is the

first to play the cards with the appropriate ingredients may

collect the dish card.

If you use up all your cards (to prepare a dish), in the following

round take one card from the face-down deck and play it to the

table (the remaining players may prepare the dish). Then draw

the number of cards indicated by the symbols on this card in

accordance with the drawing rules.

If someone used the Joker as one of the ingredients to prepare a

dish, remove the Joker card from the game (do not put it back on

the table).

IMPORTANT: the active player draws cards from the decks

before the cards played by one of the inactive players to prepare

the dish are added to them.

If you have any cards in your score pile, you may use the

ingredient depicted on the top card of the score pile to prepare a

dish. If you have a Joker card, the Joker symbol may replace one

ingredient of your choice.

When you use the ingredient from the top card of your score pile

to prepare a dish, do not discard this card. Place the newly

collected dish card on the top of your score pile. The new card

will cover the ingredient that you used and you will have a new

ingredient at your disposal in the next round.

If none of the remaining players decide to prepare a dish

(because they do not have the necessary ingredients or simply

do not want to play them), place the dish card on the top of one

of the face-up decks in accordance with the rules of adding cards

to the decks. The round of the active player is over and the

player sitting to the left of him or her (clockwise) becomes the

new active player.

The game ends at the end of the turn of the active player in which

the last card is drawn from the face-down deck. The remaining

inactive players may prepare the dish depicted on the card played in

this round by the active player, provided that they have the

necessary ingredients at their disposal. The game ends after the

turn of the active player is over. To calculate the final score, each

player sums up the Taste Points from the dish cards (prepared

dishes) collected in his or her score pile.

Additionally, players receive 1 Taste Point for each full meal

consisting of 3 different types of dishes.

In a 2 player game, players carry out their actions just like in the multiplayer mode. However, after both players finish their rounds, reveal one card from the top of the face-down deck. None of the players draw new cards in connection with the reveal of this card. At this moment, players have to opportunity to discard the necessary ingredients from their hands and prepare the revealed dish. If none of the players are able to prepare the dish, the card is placed on the relevant face-up deck, supplementing the supply of available face-up ingredient cards. The active player begins the next round. All other rules remain unchanged.

One of the inactive players - Player 2 - has already collected a card with vegetables and mushrooms in his score pile. To prepare the dish played by the active player, he does not need to play a card with this ingredient depicted in the top left corner. After collecting the dish card (preparing the dish), Player 2 places the new card on his score pile, thus changing the ingredient available to him to honey and alcohol. He may use this ingredient in the next round.
