Fleur Rosé 2016 Cotes de Provence Tasting Notes: Fleur Rosé is a beautiful shining pink color. The nose has a splendid bouquet of intense red fruits. On the palate, aromas of tangerine, strawberry and white peach are energized by a hint of white pepper. Clean and racy, Fleur offers fresh red berry and pit fruit flavors and a subtle hint of succulent herbs. The finish is fresh with red currant and clementine zest flavors. With its light, dancing character, it jumps out of the glass, full of fruit and with a delicious refreshing aftertaste. Viticulture and Terroir: Fleur Rosé comes from the best selection of terroir and oldest parcels of the vineyards. In the middle of the Provence region, near the Var area, between the mountain and the Mediterranean Sea is the exceptional terroir of Fleur Rosé, with many different types of soil and micro-climates which bring an unparalleled complexity to the wine. The average age of the vines is 50 years old. Production: Harvesting is done by hand, at night, to preserve the freshness of the grapes. Fleur is vinified with maceration on the skin in order to extract the perfect color and aromas. The juice is stored in stainless steel with controlled temperature to keep the fresh and aromatic structure of the wine. Food Pairing: White fish, poultry, pasta in light sauce, pizza, and salads. The winemaker’s favorite pairing dish is sea bass cooked in olive oil with Provencale ratatouille.
