At Taylor’d Events by Jenniferwe offer services that can help any bride.I have worked in the wedding industry since 2005, when I opened Taylor’d Events by Jennifer. I have orchestrated numerous weddings and events, in vari-ous sizes and complexities. Over the years I’ve met many brides, who, despite having different budgets, traditions and backgrounds, all really want the same thing: to have a wedding to remember and have fun planning it.

It’s wonderful to be able to pass along tips and expertise and watch what brides create with the information. And at the same time, I enjoy being part of the big day and ensuring things go as smoothly as possible.

I have been helping brides with my organizational skills, humor and lots of coffee! I hope you enjoy this month’s newsletter.

In July, Crystal and Jeff got married at the Bear Creek Country Club, followed by a reception at the same location. The look was again romantic, but up –to-date. Crystal is one of my sister’s best friends and I have known her for the past 10 years or so, so I was honored that she asked me to help with the planning of her wedding to Jeff. The photography was by Sarah Brooke Photography and floral by Elements in Bloom. Enjoy the pictures.

On January 31, 2010, the first annual Weddings in Woodinville was held, it included six of the top wedding venues in Woodinville. Novelty Hill-Januik Winery, Columbia Winery, Willows Lodge, DeLille Cellars, JM Cellars and The Loft at Rus-sell’s all opened their doors in lavish style to future brides and grooms. Designed as a tour, Weddings in Woodinville gave couples, their family and friends a view of each fully decorated venue to better envision their special day. Pro-fessional in every facet of planning a perfect wedding was on hand to answer questions. They were samples of ceremony setup, table settings, floral design, catering music and so much more. All participants were shuttled from venue to venue in style.

I was the planner at Novelty Hill-Januik Winery, my vision was to take one of the new “wedding neutral” gray. I wanted to take the cool color of gray and pop it with yellow, orange and lime green, my inspiration was the Glassy Baby that the winery has on hand in these colors.

Magnetic Flowers

Put a little spring into your solid-toned tablecloths by em-bellishing them with a bunch of magnet-fitted flowers. Unlike sewn-on accents, the blooms can be changed for each season. Nor are they limited to table settings. This “arrangement” – including roses, ranunculus, and mums – would blossom just as brightly on a cafe curtain in the kitchen or even on a living room lampshade.

Start by collecting a variety of complementary-colored fabric flowers, available at crafts stores. Adhere mini magnets (also found there) with fabric glue to the backs of the flowers just above their raised centers (the larger the flower, the farther off-center the magnet must be to ensure that it will sit flat). Secure the flowers to any soft surface, including curtains and tablecloths, by placing a second magnet on its reverse side. From Martha Stewart Living, March 2006

Signature Cocktail

An April Rain is a refreshing version of a Vodka Martini. The splash of lime will wake up your taste buds from the winter doldrums as you enjoy the light spring showers of April.

2 oz vodka 1/2 oz lime juice 1/2 oz dry vermouth lime peel for garnish

Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Shake well. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with the lime peel.

Two years ago, I was introduced to Ele-ments in Bloom through a client, she came in with idea sheets for the client to review and from there on she worked with the client to make sure everything was what they were looking for. Tanya Davis specializes in custom floral designs for Seattle and the surrounding areas. Just recently she was the featured florist at Novelty Hill – Januik Winery for Weddings in Woodinville. She will also be the fea-tured florist at Craven Farms for the Sno-homish Wedding Tour on May 23rd and she will also be at “The One” Wedding Show on April 18th, see my Open Houses information at the end of the newsletter for more information, on both of these shows.

She has been working in the floral industry since 1999. Her passion for flowers and design are constant inspiration to create incredible designs for your special event. Clients praise her for professionalism, attention to detail, flexibility and vision of the perfect event. Tanya was voted 2010 Brides Choice by Wedding Wire.

When you are checking out florist, please at Elements in Bloom on your interview list, you won’t be sorry.
