Tayyib Ali is a twenty-two year old rap and hip-hop artist from Philadelphia̓s North side. After moving out of his Father̓s house at the age of ten from the rough Philly streets Uptown and into his mother̓s North Philly apartment in the projects with six brothers and sisters, Ali began to find an outlet to express his independence: music. However, as his hobby of writing music and free-styling lyrics turned into passion, one thing suffered: his education. After skipping out on too many classes and performing poorly throughout school, Ali was sent to George Junior Republic School in Western Pennsylvania where he was forced to attend classes. At George Junior, Ali scored at the top of his class, but was also able to further hone his Pennsylvania where he was forced to attend classes. At George Junior, Ali scored at the top of his class, but was also able to further hone his musical sense. After coming back to Northern Philadelphia after a year away, Ali decided enough was enough. He was going to focus on that passion that kept him going: hip-hop & rap. At the age of 17, Ali began to release original singles with beats produced by friends and album covers designed by Ali, himself. Slowly, his star was rising. People were enjoying the fusion of new school lyrics and old school beats. College radio DJs began placing Ali̓s tracks in their rotation and then, after being signed to Visionary Music Group, Ali finally got the chance to take his music from Philadelphia to the rest of the world. rotation and then, after being signed to Visionary Music Group, Ali finally got the chance to take his music from Philadelphia to the rest of the world. With creative lyrics, catchy vocals, and a variety of original beats, Ali started to develop a fan following in the New England area. His singles, “Cold World,” “PA Chillin,” “What My Father Told Me,” “Kid Again,” “Do It,” and “Keystone State of Mind,” are regularly heard throughout the area̓s college campuses and nightclubs. In 2010 after bringing aboard a dedicated team with the main objective to help Ali reach the next level, Ali began performing alongside national and international acts like Big Sean, Waka Flocka Flame, Wiz Khalifa, Logic, Mac Miller, Shwayze, Sammy Adams, Cisco Adler, and Mod national and international acts like Big Sean, Waka Flocka Flame, Wiz Khalifa, Logic, Mac Miller, Shwayze, Sammy Adams, Cisco Adler, and Mod Sun. After numerous guest and opening acts, Ali began to book headlining gigs and even performed in front of sold out audiences at shows like the Kamikazz Festival. As more and more people began to hear Ali̓s music, his online following grew as well. Today Ali has a verified Twitter following of over 19,000, a deeply engrossed Facebook fan following of over 37,000, and an Instagram following of over 8,000. Ali has also shown that his music can be commercially successful. In 2008, after releasing his first mix-tape, “Eighteen,” it gained over 78,000 views on DatPiff.com and led to over 150,000 views on YouTube. Soon later, Ali released his passion project, “Keystone State of Mind,” 78,000 views on DatPiff.com and led to over 150,000 views on YouTube. Soon later, Ali released his passion project, “Keystone State of Mind,” the first of a series, which released on ThisSongIsSick.com and accumulated over 120,000 views on DatPiff.com. Two music videos from the tape both gained over 700,000 views on YouTube. After releasing “Keystone State of Mind 2,” which was also a commercial success, Ali began a headlining tour alongside Logic through 25 cities. Soon after that tour, Ali followed up with national tours alongside Mod Sun and Cisco Adler. In May of 2014, it was announced that Ali would be saving his best for the next in the Keystone series: “Keyston3,” which will be released through Def Jam̓s All Def Digital and distributed through Universal Music. Ali has the full support and backing of Russell Simmons, co-founder of Def Jam, and Steve Rifkind, founder of Loud Records and the mogul that discovered countless hip-hop heavyweights like Wu-Tang Clan, Akon, and David Banner. 2014 is the year that Tayyib Ali̓s career escalates even further because for him and his team, Tayyib Ali is simply ̒bigger than hip-hop!̓
