Tazkiyah Consultation Is Tazkiyah purification or sweetening? It is both BOTH:- Purification- AND sweetening

But most people think it is either-or.As you purify your soul/heart, it becomes sweeter and stronger. Also, the stronger and morebeautiful the heart, the deeper you can take the purification. This is why Allah tests thosewhom He loves the most. And He Loves those with the purest hearts according to many narrations, the one that comesto mind is that of ibn Masoud where Allah chose Mohammad, peace be upon him, because helooked at all of mankind and found him to have the best/purest heart. And we know Mohammad, peace be upon him, is the most beloved of creation to Allah.

** Is Tazkiyah a good thing of obligatory? It isnt just a good thing, it is also obligatory!Tazkiyah is obligatory because Allah, Subhanah wa Taala, says:

Indeed, he/she has succeeded. The one who performed tazkiyah on itSurah Ash-shams, verse 9.- Success here means jannah.

And indeed failure to the one that neglects itSurah Ash-shams, verse 10.

** Who benefits as you partake in tazkiyah? You and everyone around you.If you say only me, its because of the fact that you dont yet understand that you are afactor in your environment, in your family, in your mosque or community, etc. If you becomebetter, they will gain and become better.

Allah Subhanah wa Taala says:Indeed, Allah does not change a people until they change what is in themselves.Surah: Al-Rad, verse 11.This is both in regards to the effect of tazkiyah on the individual as well as the effect on theentire society.

Now, if you answered everyone around me then youre likely to be one of those people whoprefer others over themselves. But the consequences of such thinking could be that you delaytazkiyah because theres no real directbenefit to you.Or that you resent others for making you do stuff that doesnt really benefit you, along with afeeling of guilt for resenting them because you shouldnt resent others for no reason; orMuslims at all, in fact.

Do you feel like you deserve difficulty or punishment?Did you say sometimes. In a hadith qudsi, Allah Subhanah wa Taala says that He is at the perception/assumption ofHis slave.Meaning, that if you think that Allah is Merciful, then you will experience that Mercy. If you think that Allah is only Wrathful, then youre outlook on life is dark and you feel thatWrath. Also, too much of this can lead to kufr. Allah, subhana wa Taala says:And do not lose hope in Allah. Indeed they do not looe hope in the Mercy of Allah, exceptthe people of disbelief

    Surah Yusuf, verse: 87.

So you need to cut this down to zero. This can also be a doorway for Shaytan to lead youastray. Hearts come to resent the ones that show them difficulty and punish them. In thiscase, the perception would be that Allah is doing that. It would be very dangerous to resentAllah, yet many people do. You will also resent yourself if you do this because ultimately, itsyour perception. Deep down you know this. This can then lead you to want to punish yourselfmore it becomes a vicious circle.

Do you feel undeserving of Allahs bounties upon you?Did you say Often?Dont get this confused with being thankful or even overwhelmingly-thankful for Allahsbounties. Its theexact opposite. How can you be truly grateful of something that you thinkyou dontdeserve? In fact, youll push it away or mistreat it, which is the exact opposite ofgratefulness. Also, since you cant be satisfied with that which you dont think you deserve, itmeans that youll continue towant more. Youll never feel full.Always that sense of being incomplete, not good enough, wanting to keep up with the JonesthoughIronically, when you get the next thing youll feel like you dont deserve it !Its not that we are deserving of Allahs bounties. It is that HE, swt, has willed it so.We then become grateful. It would be lack of gratitude to think that you deserve what He has

Given. So we dont deserve and we dont not-deserve. We are, instead, just plainly grateful. It allhappens with HisMercy. Same with entering jannah. We dont enter it due to our deeds.Only out of The Grace and Mercy of Allah.***Do you feel that sacrifice is a good thing ?your answer: YesSo heres the thing about sacrifice. I actually dont think that it exists. And Ive not found theword in theQuran or the sunnah.Sacrifice is when you give something up. But is that what we are doing for Allah ?

Its more accurate to describe it as exchanging something not so good for something evenbetter in thisdunya and something infinitely better in the hereafter. So, nothing is being given up. And therefore, its not sacrifice. The prophet, pbuh, says that money doesnt decrease from sadaqah. We are to understand this literally. But when you think that youre giving something up, you have to think twice. So even if you think sacrifice to be a good thing, you will still limit how much of it you dobecause you haveto survive. It becomes a survival issue.Giving up your self, time, money what is left ?

However. When you realise that youre exchanging not so good for good. Then theres no limit. When will you stop giving me 5 if every time you do so, I give you back 10. NEVER !***Which is more accurate?your answer: Tazkiyah is very subjectiveIts subjective in that each individual is different and so has to focus on different things. But its objective in that you have to measure your results and progress. If you dont see the fruits of your tazkiyah, then its not tazkiyah.I discuss this in the emails that youll receive if you sign up to the Free Newsletter.***

The results of tazkiyah are purely:your answer: InternalAgain, they are both. But I wanted you to choose so that I could see how you were thinking about the subject.Once you change internally, you will change the external world. And the opposite is true, bad company has a bad effects on us !Internal results are a sense of freedom and liberation. Peace.Tranquility and closeness to Allah. The external results are a sense of more time and barakah in your time.

Easier relationships. Difficulty is replaced with more ease.Obstacles seem to dissolve. The reason for this is that you dont view them as difficulty, refer to(http://youtu.be/LjA4ExAsyr0)And also because Allah doesnt try you if your heart doesnt need to be purified of that thing.***Specifically, tazkiyah is:your answer: all of the aboveTo remember Allah ANDto stop sinning ANDto acquire strengths***

How do you motivate yourself ?your answer: I think about how I don't like the way I am currentlyThe fact that you need to motivate yourselfis the issue. How did Ibrahim (AS) motivate himself? He didnt need to.How did Mussa (AS) motivate himself? He didnt need to.How did Mohamad, pbuh, motivate himself? He didnt need to.If a heart is alive and connected to Allah, through his remembrance and recitation of theQuran, IT becomes

the motivation.Yes, learning about Inspiring Muslims is better than guilt tripping yourself by thinking abouthow much youdont like yourself. But, ultimately. Theyre both a sign that your heart/nafs require tazkiyah. So the more often you just feel motivated, the better a sign that is.End of the 1st Part of the Report Regarding your answers to the non-multiple choice questions we have noticed a strongpattern in 95% ofthe answers given. Also, due to the overwhelming number of people that honour us everyday by using this freeservice, we
