Where do you think your passion for children and youth in general came from? I’ve always had a passion for assisting others; I believe this is what I was born to do. While growing up I was very privileged and never wanted for anything. However,

many others in my surroundings did not have the resources or support that I did. I always felt everyone deserved a support system just as the one I had.

Did you have many involved in your life growing up who provided the village of positivity surrounding that enabled you to grow into the person you are today? Did you have many involved in your life growing up who provided the village of positivity surrounding that enabled you to grow into the person you are today? I had a very strong support system. If there was anything that I wanted to do I knew I could because the people around me. I truly believe without trusting in God, family, and faithful

friends I would not be able to live out my dream as I am today. I was always told I can be anything I want, I can do anything I want, as long as I work for it.

What are some of the big youth issues you would like to tackle with your organization? I would like to tackle education. There are many students who do not pursue high education because they do not have the knowledge on how to fill out fafsa, complete an I would like to tackle education. There are many students who do not pursue high education because they do not have the knowledge on how to fill out fafsa, complete an application, or know how to choose the school they would like to attend. High Schools have classes that prep you for the SAT and Act but not many of them have classes or programs that really show you the steps on how to get into you school of choice. Last April, Endless Dreams hosted an event, The College Bound Social at Harding High School in Charlotte NC that showed students and parents how to fill out fafsa, how to complete a college application, how to complete a cover letter and resume, how to properly dress, how to balance your social life and education, and so much more. After the event was over there were many students who will be first generation how to properly dress, how to balance your social life and education, and so much more. After the event was over there were many students who will be first generation college students who were overly excited about going to college and learning the information we taught them. We received countless thank you emails from parents as

well. We strive to assist students who have a dream, to pursue it.

There are many students who would like to pursue a particular career or owning their own business but do not have the knowledge or resources to do so.

Another big issue I would like to tackle is female empowerment. Women are truly on the rise. Although Endless Dreams Foundation, Inc. is not based on women I felt the need to create a program specifically for young ladies. As a young woman entrepreneur I know how hard it can be to take a leap of faith and go for your dreams. I want to

encourage young women to move forward and go for what they believe in, no matter what it may be. We strive to teach them about self-esteem, self-worth, etc.

Does your organization provide mentors to area youth at this time? Are there any other services you hope to add in the future?Does your organization provide mentors to area youth at this time? Brittany Yates (23) was born in Fredericksburg, VA. From a very young age, she always dreamed of becoming an astute businesswoman. She adores children and during her summer breaks she worked at a local daycare. Her passion for children allowed her to go over and above what was expected of her (i.e., numerous hours providing for them along with preparing nutritional snacks/meals and classroom assignment.) In her adult years, she started investing in the lives of teenagers working in an after school program where she planned and organized comprehensive thematic based enrichment

programs for those students. She also prepared activities to include arts & crafts, games and other team-building exercises.programs for those students. She also prepared activities to include arts & crafts, games and other team-building exercises.

Brittany is very passionate about assisting students in pursuing their goals and dreams. Her desire is to open a community center where all youth can come to seek assistance with goal setting, tutoring, mentoring, etc. Brittany is determined to make a difference in each person’s life that she touches.

She believes that each person needs to reach their full potential in life and serve a purpose.

Learning from her experiences growing up she realized that it takes a village to raise a child. Many youth of today need encouragement and as was always encouraged by her parents, family, church and neighbors; therefore, she desires to reciprocate what she has learned in respect to helping others.
