    Where do you want to be a year from now? What do you want to have done? What is important to you? To help you gain some clarity to your answers, here are just a few thoughts from distinction #10 from each book in The Top 10 Distinctions book series.

    Distinction #10 in The Top 10 Distinctions between Millionaires and the Middle Class is...

    Millionaires think long term, the middle class thinks short term. Society can be broken down into five groups of people. They are the very poor, the poor, the middle class, the rich and the very rich. Each group of people thinks very differently about money. For example, very poor people think day to day, poor people think week to week, middle class people think month to month, rich people think year to year and very rich people think decade to decade. One of the keys to becoming financially free and building wealth is to stretch your thinking and planning further into the future. In these five groups of people there are three primary goals. The very poor and poor have the goal of survival, the middle class has the goal of comfort and the rich and very rich have the goal of freedom. Seek and you will find that you get what you look for in life. If you seek to survive, you will. If you seek to be comfortable, you will be. But if you seek freedom, you will find it. So another key to being financially free is to make sure your primary goal is freedom.

    Winners take responsibility, whiners play the victim. There are three things that you must take responsibility for to create the kind of life you want. They are your thoughts, words and actions. As a person thinks, so are they, or your mentality determines your reality. Your thoughts are powerful. You must take responsibility with the thoughts you hold in your mind on a consistent basis. If you dont, then other

    people will control what you think about and you will find that you are becoming and doing what others want you to instead

    of what you want to. There is an ancient proverb that says the power of life and death is in the tongue. In other words you have the power to create with the words you speak. If you take responsibility for your words and speak about what you love and want, you will find you are making progress towards your goals. Your actions follow your thoughts and words. We end up doing the things we think about and talk about. So take responsibility with your thoughts and words, and then your actions will be in alignment with the dream that is in your heart.

    Distinction #10 in The Top 10 Distinctions between Dream Fulfillers and Dream Killers is...

    Dream Fulfillers are finishers, and Dream Killers are starters. In order to become a finisher, you must stay focused and take consistent action toward your dream. One of the things that steals our focus is distraction. Two of the simplest ways to handle distractions are by learning to say no to things that are

    not in alignment with your dream and consistently say yes to the things that are. If you do not learn to handle distractions,

    they will lead to disappointments. Distractions and disappointments delay dreams. If you dont learn to handle distractions and deal with disappointments you will become discouraged. It is our responsibility to keep ourselves encouraged to keep thinking, talking and taking action in the direction of our dreams. If you dont learn to encourage yourself, you will battle depression. If you find yourself depressed you must make a conscious choice to get restarted towards your dream. Restarting is the difference between goal setters and goal achievers. Distractions, disappointments, discouragement and depression are just temporary stops for a dream fulfiller. Dream fulfillers start, stop and get restarted hundreds and even thousands of times before they see their dream fulfilled. You can fulfill your dream. Stay focused and keep taking action and you will. TCM

    BBlack Diamond Rob Alwin is a firm believer that if you receive a blessing, you need to pay it forward. A few years ago, Rob and his wife Lisa were in dire need of a blessing themselves. Im not calling him back, Rob laughs. If he had not come over to our house and blocked me in my driveway when I was trying to back out, we wouldnt be in MonaVie. It was Todds tenacity, he says, that really got him in the business. The two started out as acquaintances, but now count each other as close friends.

    Do Unto Others Within six months, Rob was able to

    retire from his once-fledgling real estate business a success he attributes to the R3Global Total Support System. By having a System, youre plugging people into a culture. R3Global is a business teaching organization, but more importantly its a group of ministers who are ministering to peoples lives and helping them spiritually and emotionally, he says.

    Helping People Is AddictiveRob compares this need to help others as

Its kind of like an adult Easter Egg Hunt. Youre looking under every bush. Were looking for people that are moldable, teachable and appreciative. Rob spends five to six nights a week hosting tasting parties, attending meetings and showing the plan all in hopes of

    touching the lives of others, (a.k.a. paying it forward).

    Its addictive. Helping people is addictive, he says simply. Initially Rob didnt understand why Brig Hart had such a full schedule, but now he gets it. I love impacting peoples lives with hope. I say, I used to be a real estate broker, now Im a hope broker. When asked if he sees retirement in his future, Rob laughs, I want to do this until the day I die. Until my last breath. I want to run around talking about God, family, R3Global and MonaVie. No matter how big this gets, I could never see myself stopping. TCM

    BBlack Diamond Executives Ed and Shelly Aristizabal have a lot to thank their friends for. Over 14 years ago, a mutual friend introduced them to each other in their hometown of Naples. Four years ago, it was another friend who introduced the couple to MonaVie.

    Shellys good friend and fellow R3Global distributor Diane Nafziger invited her to a Tasting Party. Even though Crowne Black Diamond Executives Steve and Gina Merritt had driven six hours to be the guest speakers, it turned out that Shelly and her aunt Loretta Canter a Ruby in the business were the only ones to show. This taught Shelly an important lesson in the early stages of the business. You dont have to have a ton of people there, she says. You just have to have people

    Getting on Board Ed, the owner of a mortgage company,

    The Important Things in LifeFor Shelly, having her own home-based

    The Accidental ProfessionIn college, Calvin majored in Criminology

    JJill Cattano didnt need much convincing when she met her future husband Brian. Within the first week of meeting at a scuba diving class, the two had already been on a date the first step in a 21-year-long journey. Hes a pretty funny guy and Im pretty serious, Jill remembers of her first impression. It wasnt necessarily love at first sight, but we were a good match and he had me laughing.

    At the time Brian the eternal entrepreneur owned a cabinetry business and Jill was in college. Envious of his time freedom, Jill left school to help out around the shop. She realized that while a degree is important, its not the only recipe for success. Instead, she says, you need get-up-and-go, street smarts and a hard work ethic. The Cattanos spent the next few years working hard four days a week and playing even harder the other three going scuba diving in the ocean every weekend.

    A Little ConvincingAfter 15 years of marriage, Jill had

    come to trust Brians business decisions, but she was cautious when MonaVie came calling. The biggest thing for me, as a mom, is to be with them, Jill says of spending almost every day watching her daughter Delaney at the ice rink.     While Jills at the ice rink, Brian spends time with their son Dylan.     RR3Global Black Diamond Executives Matt and Kim Curtis are the kind of people who will stick by you through the good and the bad. It was love at first sight when the two met as teenagers over 34 years ago in the high school cafeteria and to this day, theyve stood by each others side for more than three decades.

    After 29 years of marriage and raising four kids, the Curtis were successful in so many aspects of life, but they felt like something was missing. They wanted to secure a financial legacy to leave behind. Kim says, It was important to me that we build something that all of our kids could inherit. Before this business, we didnt have anything to leave them.

    A No-BrainerIt was about four years ago, when the

    Curtis last kid was about to graduate high school, that Steve Merritt called Matt and told him that a man by the name of Charlie Kalb would be bringing a nutritional beverage from North Florida down to South Florida. There was to be a Tasting Party that weekend and he had to be there. Within six months, they had tripled their income and Matt was able to retire from his carpentry business.     The Perks Arent Too BadThe Curtis have been able to fulfill a lot

    KKathleen Deggelmans the kind of woman who doesnt sit around and wait for life to happen to her she makes it happen. In May 2006, Kathleen was a full-time real estate investor. The housing market started to slip and she knew it was time to look for a new venture. At the same time, she was on a routine weekly conference call with her good friend Tina Dupart when she learned about MonaVie, the aai berry, and relational marketing.

    I said, This sounds really interesting. Lets check this out, Kathleen remembers. The two women spent weeks researching the product and understanding the compensation plan. We started doing our due diligence and very quickly became excited about the product and the business, she says. With no time to sit around, they immediately flew to Los Angeles to meet with Dallin Larsen and Henry Marsh. We hit the ground running. I was excited from the get-go.

    A Passion for FoodLess than two years later, Kathleen

    reached distinguished R3Global Black Diamond Executive status. One of the reasons, she says, is she was excited to be working in the food and nutrition industry.     A Passion for PeopleBefore MonaVie, Kathleen had a passion

    In 2009, she took two trips to Brazil.     FFor over 15 years, Franck and Tina Dupart worked high-stress jobs at the same high-tech department of a Silicon Valley computer company. Every day, they spent countless mundane hours staring at computer screens. This, Tina started thinking to herself, was not what life was about.     The Rat RaceThe Duparts say the thing they

    RR3Global Black Diamond Executive Rick Gutman has been mentored by some of the hardest-working men in the world. As a real estate investor, Rick found personal business guidance with Robert Kiyosaki, a best-selling self-help author, businessman and motivational speaker. When I sit down and counsel them, I go over that Why and it allows me to come back to the foundation of why they got involved. It helps keep them on track if they lose sight, hit stumbling blocks, dont go to a few meetings or they become complacent.

    TThe Hartogs were already living pretty successful lives before R3Global and MonaVie came along. For 15 years, Todd owned and operated eight tanning salons with over 60 employees while wife Angelique spent the past 10 years as a busy real estate lawyer. What was their

    one complaint? There wasnt any time to enjoy the fruits of their labor... or each other. We were always busy. No life always working, Todd says. You just kind of pass each other in the morning and pass each other at night.

    An Unlikely Introduction

    Todd had known fellow R3Global Black Diamond Joe Licciardi off and on for about 20 years. They werent great friends, but whether it was a business venture or just some friendly advice they always kept in touch. One day, Joe called Todd and asked if he could come by Todds office to share something with him. Todd agreed. When Joe got there, he excitedly started talking about fruit, the aai berry, and MonaVie.

    After sampling the product for three days, what really got me was when Joe told me about his dream, Todd says. His dream included building a millionaire MonaVie business, going Black Diamond in six months, receiving a free black Mercedes-Benz and enjoying company-sponsored vacations around the

    world. Todd, who had always dreamed of switching careers, thought to himself, Thats exactly what I want.

    Keep Your Nose to the Grindstone Once Todd Hartog sets a goal, the only

Angelique is semi-retired only working a few hours per month and Todd was finally able to sell his tanning salons. It gives us the freedom of time. We dont HAVE to do anything. Were in total control of our schedules, he says of being able to take the kids to and from school every day.

    And the Hartogs dont mind it at all when the parents at school keep asking what they do for a living that allows them so much freedom. They love to help people especially those closest to them. Its empowering in a completely different way that kind of surpasses the financial award to know that you were responsible for introducing someone to this wonderful life of network marketing, Todd says.     But the incomes not bad either. The Hartogs now make more money per year than most people do in a 10 or 20-year span. It allows them the financial freedom to do what they want and then some.     HHe was the new guy that I had to sit down and talk to, Teresa Henry says of meeting her husband Scott under a tree at a church picnic. After 21 years of marriage, its fitting that the two met near Gods house they live each day with His will in mind.

    It was Gods will, after all, that brought them the gift of MonaVie and R3Global. Well, God and Matt and Kim Curtis. For years, the families had been vacationing together. Matt was actually in my house in North Carolina when Steve Merritt called him and said he needed to sign up two people for this thing called MonaVie, Scott remembers. They can laugh about it now, but at the time, Matt didnt even tell his good buddy about the opportunity.

    It was six weeks later when the two met for lunch and Matt unveiled the nutritional beverage. The first thing the Henrys did, before they even tried the juice, was to sign up their oldest son Scotty. Scott says, We had never been in a network before; we didnt know what we were doing. All we knew to do was follow the leader and thats what we did.

    Like Son Like FatherThe story of their son Scotty is a true

    Growing Closer to God and Each Other

    I wasnt on board in the beginning because I thought that Scott was busy enough with other things, Teresa remembers. I thought to myself, This is just going to take him further away from the family. Teresa Henry has never been happier to be wrong. She has not only seen her family grow closer to each other, theyve grown closer to God.

    In the beginning, Teresa saw MonaVie as a business. That was until she attended her first R3Global event. I saw everything in a new light its really more like a ministry than a business, she says. I just had the peace of God on me as I sat in the conference and I knew everything was going to be OK. I felt His hand on my

    Scott agrees. He says hes really excited about the direction in which R3Global is going. At the last function in Orlando, half the crowd came forth and gave their lives to God.     WWhen Rodney Howard-Browne is looking for help, he does what most of us do he calls on his best friend Jesus. Back in his native home of South Africa, Rodney was praying to find a wife. I know some people might not understand this, but I walked into a place and I heard a voice saying, Theres your wife, he remembers of the day, 28 years ago, that he met Adonica. The first night we went out, I told her I was going to marry her. Rodney trusted his best friend. The couple was engaged six weeks later and married six months after that. The rest is history.

    Another Divine Introduction

    The Howard-Brownes have spent their lives devoted and devout. Everywhere we go, and weve been to 50 countries around the world, we introduce people to the presence of God and the reality of the Lord, Rodney says of their international missionary organization, church, Bible School, school of worship and the homes in South Africa for abandoned children that they support. There are many religions in the world, but there is only one Jesus.

    In the past, the couple tried a few other network marketing ventures. They even made some money from them. The problem was that the people under them couldnt make any money. I was looking for a tool where everyone could make money,

    Rodney explains. In 2005, they were introduced to a new relational marketing opportunity via their good friends Brig and Lita Hart. Rodney says he was very skeptical to try the purple super juice called MonaVie, but when he did, he felt an overall sense of well being and better health within three days.

    Working the BusinessRodney was convinced that they had a

    good product, but he needed help with the business side. So he called on Brig for help. His good friend went above and beyond he stayed at his house and taught him the R3Global System (before there even was one). During those few days, the Howard-

    Brownes went Bronze, Silver and Gold. Brig was sitting right there with me in my office, he remembers. My line was, Give me your credit card and social security number. Were going into business.

    As they travel the world, Rodney and Adonica are constantly asked to try new products. Over the past four years, we have been approached by many other networks to come on board with them, Rodney says. I just smile and say, Im already in one. I have no desire to switch. He does, however, wish they had more time to give to MonaVie. I probably spend less than an hour a week in the business, but I did enough four years ago to build a strong foundation to carry us, Rodney says. We are still signing up key people, especially since Europe opened up. For now, the Howard-Brownes will continue to travel the world, spreading the word of Jesus... and MonaVie. TCM

    WWhat would Mick Karshner do without the Internet? He met his wife Vick on Match.com and found the opportunity of a lifetime via a Google search MonaVie. Vick was love at first sight. MonaVie took a little longer to get used to.

    Mick was working as a boat mechanic when he decided he wanted more in life. He typed in home-based businesses on the Google search engine. A million plus things popped up, he remembers. I clicked on a lot of them and they all seemed like too-good-to-be-true scams. That is, until he clicked on a search and the MonaVie bottle appeared on his computer screen.

    I looked at it and thought, Wow! I can stay home and do a wine business with Merlots and Cabernets. This is cool! The idea of selling wine for a living is what kept Mick on the page, but when he started reading and gathering more information, he realized it was even better than wine a healthful juice beverage.     Floundering AboutAn avid bass fisherman, Mick is used

    to the old hook and reel game he just didnt think hed have to play it in relational marketing. The Karshners new venture was stagnant and they were at their wits end. Thats when MonaVieontheMove.com came about and Mick kept seeing new Diamond Executives popping up all over Florida. He thought to himself, What in the world do these people know that I dont

    know? So he found a business-building seminar in Tampa with Brig and Lita Hart and Steve and Gina Merritt.

    The Karshners didnt have the extra

    money, but Mick knew this was something he had to do. I said, This is my last effort at MonaVie. If it doesnt work, were going to quit, he remembers. At the seminar, Mick learned about the R3Global Total Support System. I got my heart right with the Lord and I got the System from Brig. Once back in California, their business took off like wildfire. With R3Global on their side, the Karshners went Blue Diamond in six months and Black Diamond a year from that.

    IIt was 27 years ago that Joe and Patrice Licciardi met on the Colorado River. Joe was driving a ski boat past a dock with three cute girls waving at him. He turned the boat around and asked who wanted to go for a ski ride. Patrice stood up and her future husband said, OK, lets go.

    Not long after, Joe, an aspiring body builder, and Patrice bought a nutrition center where they had a juice bar and hosted weight loss and weight gain programs. This was the beginning of a life spent in the health care industry. They went from owning health clubs and fitness centers to selling MonaVie. It seemed like a natural extension of what they were already

    doing. There was just one problem: they had never done network marketing before. On the plus side, Joe was used to being in a leadership role.

    Because of all of the businesses Ive had, Im used to being in that role of leader. This isnt just about bringing people into the business, Joe says of MonaVie. Its about creating success story after success story.

    Creating a Success StoryOne of Joes favorite success stories is

Their upline says, They now earn a substantial income and Robynes been able to retire. She put in her 19 years for her 19 fruits.

    So how seriously does Joe take his role as leader? How many success stories does he want to create? My goal is to create 20 Black Diamonds, and so far on my team Ive created four of them, he says.

    For the Licciardis, this is just a natural extension of what theyve been doing day in and day out creating results.

This high-energy family is just getting started. On my vision board I have a card that says, I must finish this race. Its still a journey. Im a competitive person and I have not yet reached that Crowne Black Diamond level, Joe says.
