    The total turnover of the tea industry is aroundRs. 10,000 crores.

    Since independence tea production has grownover 250%, while land area has just grownby40%.

    Total net foreign exchange earned per annum isaround Rs. 1847 crores.

    This is equivalent to 43% of India's Tea exports. Theother countries for India's Tea exports include mostof the European Countries

    The objective of the Code is to promote honest and ethical

    conduct and to disclose, in a transparent manner, the values

    PRESENT STATUS

    Company started its export division only in the year2001-02.

    The Company has also received orders for shipmentof 800 tons of tea from April 2009 to July 2009 fromSoviet Russia and thus expects substantially highexport turnover during the next year.

    The Company has already signed a Memorandum ofUnderstanding (MOU) with M/s Sovincom of Russiaone of the leading importer of tea in Asia for export

    of tea worth Rs.40 Million during the year 2009-10.

    Our Yearly Production Record

    The overall performance of the Tea Industry during the

    All India Production has been marginally lower whereas Exports for

    the Calendar Year 2007 has gone down to 156.7 Million Kgs from203.9 Million Kgs during the Calendar Year 2006.

    During the year under review, the Company achieved production of20.60 lacs Kgs of Black Tea as compared to 21.32 lacs Kgs in the

    previous year

    Considering the present scenario, including weather conditions, theprices are expected to remain firm. Since our Company is focusing

    mainly on making quality tea, the outlook appears to be good.
