Setting The film takes place in New York. Two detectives are on a case to try and stop a killer who is killing people who have committed the seven deadly sins.

Acting The acting was good for the most part. Morgan Freeman did an excellent job playing a detective that is about ready to retire. He shows that he is more knowledgeable then Brad Pitt throughout the entire movie. Brad did a good job playing a young know it all detective.

Lighting The lighting for the movie was both light and dark. When there were murder scenes the lighting was dark. For the rest of the movie it had ambient lighting. The lighting was fit for what type of movie it was. The lighting changed throughout the movie to help set the tone of what kind of movie it is.

Costumes The costumes fit the movie for each actor. Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman wore mainly suits since they were detectives working on a case.

Makeup Makeup and special effects was great for this film. There was just the right amount of makeup applied to the murder victims to make the viewer actually think that they had been murdered or that the bruises looked realistic.

Music The music was always dark. Kind of satanic for the murder scenes and depressing the rest of the movie. The music made you feel as if something bad was going to happen throughout the entire film. Since the move was

drama suspense the music fit the movie well.

Sound The sound was good. There were not any missed sounds and there were some sounds that played at just the right moment to make the hair on your neck stand up or send chills down your neck.

Editing Editing of the movie was good. There were not any scenes that went too long or too short. The movie stayed on track so you knew what was going on at all times. Also the movie, music, and sounds followed the movie perfectly.

Horror films are films designed to scare, panic, cause dread and alarm, and to bring out our worst fears. Most contain a terrifying or shocking ending all the while captivating and entertaining us. Horror is normal from the dark side of life, things that are forbidden and hit most viewers in a primal, vulnerable terror.

Se7en most assuredly is molded from the typical horror genre. The setting is moody. The characters are a two good guys and a bad guy. The bad guy has a mission and feels justified in his gruesome actions. The story evokes fear, disgust, and general terror that a human could treat another human in these unspeakable ways. The film reaches right down in the viewer’s primal core of right and wrong and tests our boundaries of understanding what a person is capable of.

Setting The setting of Dumb and Dumber is set in Rhode Island at the start. Lloyd takes a lady to the airport that he falls in love with during their drive. Lloyd and his friend Harry make a cross country trip to Aspen to take her the brief case she left at the airport. While making the trip to Aspen they are being followed by the criminals who are trying to get the brief case full of money. The money was supposed to be used for a ransom to get the ladies husband back from the two criminals.

Acting The acting in this film was fit for the type of movie it is. The lead actors Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels play the lead characters that are probably the two dumbest people alive. Each scene is believable on the skills of acting. The love interest plays hard to get with out telling anyone she is married. The criminals in the film fit their role. The criminals are out to get the brief case that was left behind and make sure they do a good job scaring Lloyd and Harry along the way of getting the brief case.

Lighting The lighting was perfect for the movie. The majority of the movie was filmed outdoors so the lighting was natural. When inside the lighting was not too dark or too bright so you could always see what was going on.

Costumes The costumes used at the beginning of the movie were used to tell what Lloyd and Harry did for a job. Lloyd was a limo driver and was wearing a suit while Harry was dressed an oversized

dog to show that he was a dog groomer. The lady was dressed well to show that she came from a wealthy family. The criminals were wearing dark clothes to show that they were defiantly the bad guys.

Makeup The makeup was fitting for all the characters. Was not too much or over the top.

Music The music for this film fits each scene. The love scenes had love music playing in the background. This helped set the mood for that scene. Each scene had the right type of music for each scene. The action or intense scenes had a more upbeat or faster paced music to it. The sound of horror music set in when Harry used the bathroom that was broken.

Sound The sound effects were right on. From the fight scenes to the sound of the cars coming at you. The sound of Harry’s stomach gurgling was right on.

Editing The film had good editing although some scenes you could tell had been edited and or not enough editing. The fight scene had the sound effects, but the actual punches and kicks did not look like they even came close to the other character.

Comedies have elements that are repeated through a film. The film has two great comedians that where very good at slapstick and timing of the perfect joke. They are both very physical and exaggeration is played on very well. This film also was a situational comedy that put the characters in a very odd place that they had to find their way out of.

The film fit the mold perfectly. This was a movie that made you laugh from beginning to end. There were moments that the movie had some intense parts, but Harry and Lloyd made the part funny during and after the intense scene.
