GENERAL INFORMATION

Midweek Cycling Club proudly presents the 21st anniversary of Toronto Cyclocross. This event has been sanctioned by the Ontario Cycling Association and will follow the standards and rules regarding Ontario Cup Cyclocross races. START TIMES

• 9:30 am M3/E4 Men 40 minutes • 10:30 am U17/U15/U13 (includes U11) 30 minutes • 11:30 am M2/E3/U19 Men 45 minutes • 12:45 pm Elite/U23 (17-22) & Master Women 40 minutes • 1:55 pm M1, E1/2 Men 60 minutes / Single Speed 45 minutes

REGISTRATION FEES

• 23+ $60 • U23 and below $30 • SS $60 (or $40 as an add on)

REGISTRATION

• Pre-registration is available on the Ontario Cycling website at www.ontariocycling.org. Pre-registration closes Thursday, September 29 at 11:59 pm.

• Sign-in/Day of registration is located under the picnic �shelter near the finish. Day of registration is cash only. $10 surcharge applies.

• Registration will open at 8:00 am and remain open until 1:25 pm. Riders must sign in 30 min before the start of their race.

LICENCES

• M3, E4, SS, all U17 and below, and U19 women and Masters women events require UCI license or OCA Citizen Permit.

• E1/2, E3, U23, U19, Elite Women, M1, M2 events require a UCI license. • Licenses/Permits must be presented at sign-in. • US Domestic Licenses will no longer be accepted at any Ontario events. US riders will

require a UCI international license to participate in any Ontario events. All foreign licensed riders other than US riders must produce a letter of permission from their country’s federation.

BIB NUMBERS

• Bring your OCA bib numbers and pins. Placement as displayed at registration. • A $20 fee will be charged for replacement numbers.

EVENT RULES

• The races will be held under the rules of the UCI/CCA with OCA modifications. Find CCA/OCA rules online at www.ontariocycling.org/commissaires/commissaires-rules

• Warming up on course while races are going on is prohibited. Please be courteous to fellow racers.

• A pit is located on course for servicing equipment and changing bikes or wheels. Riders may not travel backwards or cut the course to reach the entrance with the exception of a mishap occurring AFTER the pit entrance but BEFORE the pit exit (travel backwards to pit entrance in this case).

• Any rider dropping out of the race shall immediately notify a commissaire or risk a penalty.

• Lapped riders may be pulled at the order of the commissaires, either after being overtaken or just before being overtaken.

• Participants and spectators must always adhere to Toronto Park Bylaws found online at www.toronto.ca.

EQUIPMENT RULES.

• The UCI rules for bicycles and equipment are outlined in Part 1, Chapter 3 UCI rule book.

• The use of mountain bikes, or bikes with flat handlebars (provided bar ends are removed) is permitted in all categories except Elite 1/2 Men and Master 1 Men. A traditional cyclocross-style bike with drop handlebars must be used in these categories.

• Disc brakes are permitted. • Helmet mounted cameras are not permitted.

AWARDS & PRIZES

Awards ceremony will occur right before the beginning of the next race or approximately 15 minutes after the last race of the day’s results have been posted. The top three finishers are required to attend award presentations or risk forfeiting their awards. Riders are expected to wear their competition uniforms for the presentation.

COURSE MAP

Course is subject to small changes. Sections may be added/omitted to keep appropriate lap times of 7-9 mins.

FIRST AID

First Aid services will be on-site during the competition located just beyond the finish line.

WASHROOMS

Port-a-toilets are located near the start area. Toronto bybaws forbid encumbering (fouling or urinating) in a public place.

DOGS

Dogs must always be kept on a leash. Centennial Park does not have a leash free area. If they poop please scoop. Only service animals may accompany athletes during competition.

LOCATION & PARKING

Centennial Park, Toronto. Unlike the #MidweekCX Tuesday series, Toronto Cyclocross course is located on the west side of Centennial Park Ski Hill. Enter from Centennial Park Blvd off Eglinton from the north or Rathburn from the south. South of the Pan Am BMX track near the go carts will take you the parking nearest he venue.
