Rationale: With the implementation of BYOD at the Middle School and

High School next school year, it is important to empower the teachers

with the knowledge on how to implement effective use of the devices.

Teachers will need on-going professional development to encourage

the use of technology as they begin to implement new standards and

teach within the new PA Evaluation Framework.

Plan:

1. Organize and participate in TOPS Technology Training – Summer

2013.

2. Collaborate with Chris Assetta to integrate technology into

professional development goals for the upcoming school year.

3. Develop relationships with technology leaders at the Middle

School and High School.

4. Create enthusiasm for emerging technologies by consistently

sharing ideas with eager staff – Professional Learning Community.

Execution Goals:

Begin with ideas that are simple yet effective to build up

teacher enthusiasm and confidence.

Find out what teachers’ needs are and plan PD around the

information.

Differentiate PD experiences for groups of teachers.
