SUBJECT: TELEVISION SETS EQUIPPED WITH ICC10 CHASSIS
POWER SUPPLY / SWEEP CIRCUIT
RELIABILITY OF THE DIODE IN POSITION DP104
The reliability is improved if diode MUR160 (code 80245100) is replaced
by the new type MUR1100E (code 10360280).
NOTE:
This improvement is already built into new products.

SUBJECT: TELEVISION SETS EQUIPPED WITH THE ICC10 CHASSIS
IMPROVEMENTS
I- POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
1) Start up with integrated circuit TEA 5170 (IP120)
The environment of this circuit has been modified as follows :
- CP 138 4.7 µF capacitance replaced by 1 µF 50 V (IP120 pin 1)
- RP143 resistance of 470 kohm deleted (IP120 pin 1)
- RP158 4.7 Kohm melf resistance replaced by 6.8 kohm resistance (IP160 pin 2)
IMPORTANT NOTE :
The software version (IR02) V1.61 (code 10366290) corrects the start up problem
related to the video module (VM4000).
2) Protection against tripping
Protection is improved by making the following modifications :
- RP166 (strap) replaced by a melf 100 ohm resistance (between IP160 pin 1
and junction point RP160/DP154).
- CP 123 100 nF chip capacitance replaced by 470 nF (IP118 output pin and the ground).
II- AUDIO / SWEEP CIRCUIT
Protection against arc effects
Protection is improved by the following modifications :
- CA 11/12 and CA 15/16 (100 nF) replaced by 220 nF 63 V
(circuit IA01/02 TDA2052)
- RL28 fuse resistance replaced by an agglomerated 0.50 W 1.5 kohm resistance
(code 10121880).

PRODUCTION MODE
Appearance of a red “P” on the screen.
- Continuously press the “-“ volume key on the keyboard until the red P disappears.- Change to standby to validate exit from production mode.

FUSE AND DEMAGNETIZATION COIL
PRECAUTIONS
The ICC10 chassis uses a 2.5 A fuse FP01 associated with a specific resistive value
of the demagnetization coil.
However other chassis use a 1.6 A fuse (FP01 or FP05) associated
with an appropriate demagnetization coil resistance.
This requires that some precautions are taken when replacing these elements:
- Never use a 2.5A fuse on a chassis designed for a 1.6A fuse.
- Never use a demagnetization coil that is not designed for your set.

Symptom :
Visible colour lines across the top and bottom of the picture, after a period of use.
Solution :
To overcome this problem, the original software has been modified and replacedby a new “S” version, please refer to the tables below for replacement information.

Problem observed :Audible vibration in accoustic horns being transmitted to midrange tweeters.
Solution implemented :The original recommandation was to fit a foam gasket between the accoustic horns and the front cabinet, now the solution is to replace the original accoustic horns with ones which have been modified. These are available under Part No. 25295870.
Accoustic horns
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Chassis : ICC10 - ICC11 (with chassis serial number date codes AJ6 & AJ7)
Symptom :Intermittant or no sound.
Solution :Replace the voltage regulator integrated circuit used at circuit reference number TS060 on the AM/FM Audio Module (AMFM 9XXX), the device used is a Motorola MC33164P-5 available under Part No. 10277030.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Chassis concerned : ICC10 (binomal AF3, AF4 possible up to AF6)
Symptom :Set randomly switches to the security mode.
Cause : BCL information produced at pin 1 of the Line Transformer LL008 connected to TL01-TL08 (protection circuit) is incorrect.
Solution :1) Up to PCB index 02, add the following components to the BCL circuit .Addition of RL060 220Ω (code 80077900) and CL060 4.7nF (code 40069900) in BCL circuit.
Note : on chassis index 02 replace JL29 by RL060 and add CL060.
2) For all versions, change the following components :
Resistore RL005 from 220Ω into 330Ω code 10432000 (solder side, position J9).Capacitor CL028 from 1nF into 4.7nF code 40069900 (solder side, position H7).Capacitor CL033 from 4.7µF into 10µF code 43141560 (components side, position J10).
- You do not need to write anything in the white boxes.- To be filled according chassis version.
IRIS CODE: the code mentioned below has to be used to report the failure in the warranty sheet. It should make completing your form easier and more reliable.

3 ECRITURE - MEMORISATION DES VALEURS
Après réglages, les valeurs sont mémorisées en NVML' affichage (voir chapitre précédent) (0) ou (+) ou (-) référencie cette valeur.En cours d' alignement les valeurs sont mémorisées temporairement en RAM.
Store Copie la valeur les valeurs égales sont
RAM en NVM affichées par (0).
Restore copie toutes la valeur mémorisée enles valeurs des NVM est rappelée et peut être données NVM ainsi retrouvée si elle a été en RAM. modifiée en cours de réglage.
Note :Il n' est pas possible de rappeler la valeur mémorisée en NVM avant réglage.
NoteIl est possible d' appeler les valeurs par défaut pour effectuer un test et de restituer par (RESTORE) ultérieurement les données NVM. Tant que STORE n' est pas exécuté les données NVM ne sont pas affectées.

The “TUBE” menu is used to reduce TV alignment for a specific tubefitted to the chassis to a minimum, TV alignment is necessary if NVMis replaced or becomes “corrupted”.
It performs a pre-setting by changing the default values of the NVM.
The ICC10 chassis takes 16 different tube types
