Grower Benefits of DuPont™ Exirel® and Verimark® powered by Cyazypyr®
DuPont™ Exirel® and Verimark® insect control help improve early crop establishment for visibly vigorous plants from start to finish, to help growers produce a stronger crop in the field for a more appealing crop at harvest.
• Applications early in the crop cycle protect tender seedlings from feeding damage and transmission of some pest-vectored diseases
• Reducing biotic stresses improves crop establishment and gets the crop off to a strong start
• Getting the crop off to a strong start with a program including DuPont™ Exirel® and Verimark® consistently creates an opportunity for improved yield at harvest

Impairment of muscle function in affected insects results in the following
Reduction of fecundity and fertility of adult insects
Reduction of direct feeding damage
Reduction of pest-vectored viruses
Reduction of progeny viability
Affect on development of larvae/nymphs
Mortality of affected insects typically 1-4 days after exposure to the product
Uniform and vigorously growing crops that can better meet their full genetic potential and deliver higher yields and better quality

Designed for Optimal PerformanceProducts powered by Cyazypyr®
Designed for soil applicationsFor optimized root uptake and crop safety to tender roots and shoots, protecting both older leaves and new growth from a cross-spectrum of pests and helping provide consistently better yield and quality results at harvest.
Designed for foliar applicationsFor optimized leaf penetration and locally systemic movement, improving coverage and protection from a cross-spectrum of pests and potentially improving a plant’s resilience to stress.

Best Management Practices for Pollinator Protection When Using Exirel® in Crops During Bloom and Pollinators are Present
Cyazypyr® foliar and soil formulations have been tested extensively for honey bee safety on many crops. Summary of findings on effects on Bees:
• Exirel® is toxic to bees exposed to direct treatment on blooming crops or weeds.
• Semi-field and field tests indicate no biologically relevant impact on honeybee colonies (adults and brood) if sprays are made after daily bee flight.
• No effects have been observed on honey bees after 3-hours of ageing of spray deposits at maximum label rate of 20.5 oz/acre (0.134 lb ai/acre)
• Risk assessments indicate no risk for bees resulting from oral exposure to residues of cyantraniliprole in pollen or nectar.
• The use of Exirel® following label restrictions and good Agricultural Practices pose no unacceptable acute and chronic risks for honeybees, colony development, colony survival and behavior.

• Verimark® is labeled only for soil applications.
• While direct exposure of honeybees from soil applications (in-furrow, shank, drench, drip chemigation) is considered to be low, follow these directions to protect pollinators when applying Verimark®:
• Do not apply Verimark® or allow it to drift to blooming crops or weeds if bees are visiting the treatment area.
• Check for water leaks and make sure drip lines are closed at the end of crop rows in order to avoid puddling of treatment solution.

Summary
Programs of Verimark® at 10-13.5 applied at the float house fb Coragen® TW with orwithout imidacloprid appeared to enhance the overall consistency and residualprotection against budworms
Verimark® alone at 10-13.5 oz/A applied as TW or in the float house provided the bestprotection against flea beetles. Programs that included Verimark® and imidacloprid appeared to enhance the overall consistency and residual protection against flea beetles
Foliar applications of Cyazypyr® (Exirel® 10 SE or Cyazypyr® 10 OD) also provide excellent budworm and flea beetle control
Programs that included Verimark® and imidacloprid resulted in the overall best reductionin TSWV incidence as compared to the individual products
Programs that included imidacloprid at planting followed by foliar applications of Cyazypyr® 10 OD also resulted in excellent reduction in TSWV incidence in one test
The above programs resulted in yield increase of 10-20% over the untreated
