TITLE: ISE Vansco PLC Programming

APPLICABILITY: All ISE New Flyer Buses

This notice is to inform you of the programming requirement when replacing a Vansco VMM on the ISE system.

When a VMM1210 is replaced in the ISE system with a new low profile VMM1210, there is potential for

intermittent CAN communication issues to occur. This has been noticed on a small number of buses. Extensive

testing has been performed and the issue likely originates from having different application codes installed in each

VMM1210 on the network. Note that the ISE system only has two VMM1210 modules. As a precautionary

measure, it is recommended to install the latest application code into the system after the VMM1210 has been

installed.

Before continuing with the download, use the Query VMMs… function to

ensure you are able to communicate with two (2) Vansco VMM1210

modules.

The download can be performed by opening the Vansco VMM software,

click on Tools -> Download Application…

From there, browse for the latest application code and begin download.

o Note: Use application code version 7.2.1.11 or newer.

After the application code has been updated, the VMM software will automatically download into the new VMM

module if it hasn’t already done so. If the system does not perform the download, you must use the Download

Logic… function to download the ISE VMM Software. Ensure you have this software before performing any

changes to prevent a system lockout.
