NO. 9.0 9.1 DESCRIPTION OF BHEL REQUIREMENT SOFTWARE FOR EVALUATION OF TURBINE BLADES (INTERFACE FOR MEASUREMENT FOR TURBINE BLADES). A suitable Interface shall be provided for automatic generation of checking programme for measurement of blade root & profile as per BHEL drawing requirement of dimensions, profile and orientation to be reported in tabular as well as graphical format indicating comparison with accepted norms with best fit option. The interface shall have following features. : a) The Interface shall be quiped with all internal logics for transfering the reference setting at specific position of the blade as per BHEL practice for all type of blades as mentioned at point no. 9.1(d) upon input of certain values by the operator in the Interface as may be deemed necessary. b) The Interface shall be capable of accepting the profile data of blade in following ways : (i) BHEL supplied strak data format (ii) Profile coordinates in simple and suitable ASCII (Text) format. (iii) IGES format from leading CAD system such as IDEAS, Unigraphics, Pro-Engineer, AUTO CAD etc. --The interface shall automatically convert the above mentioned format into it's own format to be used for automatic generation of programme for checking of blade profile at specific sections/ specific distance from reference surface as shall be entered by the operator in the interface. c) The Interface shall be capable of accepting the HUB (Root) & SHROUD data of the blade in following ways for automatic generation of programme for checking of predefined dimensions of Hub & Shroud. (i) BHEL supplied Hub & Shroud data in UEB format. (ii) Manual definition of complete Hub & Shroud portion of the blade in the Interface itself. -The Interface shall automatically prepare the programme for checking of those parameter values/ dimensions as shall be entered by the operator in a separate file in a suitable format which shall be referred by the Interface. 10 OPERATING CONDITIONS The machine shall be used on shop floor with temperature 25 +_ 3 deg C and relative Humidity 60+_ 10%. Power supply 3 Ph AC 415 V +_ 10% , Frequency 50+_3 Hz. Vendor should ensure the proper earthing for the machine and its peripherals /accessories. Any material requirement for the same should be informed with foundation 11.5 design/drawings. The vendor can take earthing connection from the nearest available location of the production shop. 12.0 AIR COMPRESSOR: 12.1 Individual air Compressor of suitable capacity equipped with air drier, filtration unit and dehumidifier preferably oil free shall be supplied. 16.0 MACHINE PRE-ACCEPTANCE AT VENDOR'S WORKS

16.1

BHEL persons deputed for training will be doing pre-acceptance at vendor's works and give dispatch clearance after satisfaction from all angles. During pre-acceptance, all accuracy tests mentioned at point number 15 shall be witnessed by the team. Also during pre-acceptance vendor shall carry out complete dimensional checking of the blades mentioned in 20.1 in the supplied Interface for blade checking as per point 9.1 Further, Vendor to accept & confirm the vendor shall demonstrate all the features of the Interface as asked at point no. 9.1(d). The finished blade (one each) for pre-acceptance shall be handed over to the vendor at Hyderabad, India and the vendor shall carry the blades to their works at their cost and responsibility and same shall be returned back with the supplied machine. 17.0 FOUNDATION Foundation : Foundation shall be made by BHEL as per suppliers drawings. Three (03) copies of machine layout and foundation drawings showing details as below, shall be provided by the supplier within 04 weeks of placement of order; a. Foundation diagram detailing out complete concrete construction depth, Load diagram of foundation, Layout of power linesService requirement for air, water, power supply for machine shall be 17.1 intimated with foundation details. The foundation should be designed by the supplier with self leveling dampers to be provided to neutralize the vibration effect due to other production machines in nearby area. Special Materials like foundation bolts, anchoring materials, fixators. Dampers level ling shoes etc. are to be provided by the supplier Vendor to confirm

18.00 ERECTION & COMMISSIONING Supplier to take full responsibility for carrying out the erection, start up, testing of machine, its control & all types of other supplied equipment / accessories etc. Service requirement like power, air & water shall be provided by BHEL at only one point to be indicated by supplier in their foundation / layout drawings. Other requirements like 18.1 crane(capacity of 10 Ton only) and helping personnel shall also be provided by BHEL. Details of these requirements should be informed / discussed by vendor and agreed with BHEL in advance.In case crane of higher capacity is required, representative of vendor to hire mobile crane from local sources. Erection & Commissioning of Voltage stabilizer, Isolation Transformer , Compressor 18.2 with Air Dryer and other accessories with all electrical & mechanical connections shall also be responsibility of the vendor.

Portion, if any, of the machine, accessories and other supplied items where paint got rubbed or peeled off during transit or erection should be repainted and matched with the 18.8 original adjoining paint by the vendor. For this purpose, the vendor should supply sufficient quantity of touch-up paint of various colours/shades of paints used. Hyderabad supplier shall carry out complete dimensional checking of components to their specified design accuracies. using BHEL supplied strak & UEB data in the supplied interface for blade measurement as per point no. 9.0 Further, all the features of the interface shall be completely demonstrated and established on the machine. NO. 25 GUARANTEE 25.1 Vendor should offer performance guarantee of 24 months for the total system from the date of successful commissioning / prove out and handing over. Any spare required during guarantee period shall be arranged by the vendor free of cost and duty levied is to be borne by the vendor. The vendor should have supplied a machine for complete measurement of blades for rotating machines (Root, profile, shroud and orientation measurements). However, if such a machine had been supplied to BHEL, then such machine should be presently working satisfactorily for more than six months after its commissioning and acceptance in BHEL.
